Nothing Personal
A/N: So if you havent seen the end of the tresspasser dlc I would suggest playing it or watching it before reading this. This is an alternate universe where my inquisitor sacrifices the Chargers...this is after the big fight...I havent seen any stories touching on this, so I decided to write this.
Inquisitor Azar Lavellan stared down at his lover...former lover, his hand trembled as he touched Iron Bulls cheek, the qunari was still, his skin growing cold. Azar sucked in a shakey breath, he knew why the Bull betrayed him...he understood, but it didnt make it hurt any less.
"I understand why...but it still hurts...did you really mean it when you said I wasnt just part of your job?" He asks quietly, his voice was shaking. "DID YOU MEAN IT THEN OR WAS I JUST A JOB!" He screams and then he dropped his head on the Bulls chest sobbing.
He shakes his head, "Don't leave me, please don't." He whispers, he knew he probably looked weak, but he didnt care, the man he had been with for years was dead...dead by his hand. That thought made another choked sob tear out of the elfs throat.
"Katoh...Katoh." He rasps, his eyes tightly shut, trying to ignore what had happened, what he did...He killed Iron Bull...He killed his lover. The thought made his chest tighten, he betrayed him...but Azar didnt blame him for that.
Cassandra watched the Inquisitor sadly, Cole looked helpless, "So much sadness...guilt." Cole whispers, he reaches out to touch Azar, but Cassandra stops him, shaking her head quietly.
They stand quietly and listen to the sobs and screams coming from the elf, Cassandra finally grabbed him and pulled him away from the body when he started hitting the Bulls chest. He had struggled in her grip, but eventally let her lead him away, she didnt shush him or say it would be okay, he wouldnt want false hope.

It was a few days since they returned and Azar just kept to himself, he stared out over the mountains, he felt a sharp pain in his chest when he thought about his former lover. He gripped the dragontooth necklace tightly and swallowed hard.
He turned and looked at the room, all he saw was the moments he shared with the Bull, he turned and left the room. He found Josie and told her that he was going to move into a new room. She looked at him sadly, but nodded. "I understand, Inquisitor." She says sofly.
He sat on the steps outside, one phrase being said over and over in his head, it made the guilt and sadness increase with each saying.
"Nothing Personal."
