A/N: Short, sweet, to the point. DID YOU WATCH? OH GOSSHYY! I almost missed the car scene. OHHH YESS! I did NOT miss the ending. No, I did not. It was like S3 all over again.
Plus, you can just ignore Strikes and Balls now. Haha. Oh well. It's fanfiction.

McGee walked across the bullpen, listening to the echoes of Tony's squeaking in the elevator. He was obviously trying to talk to Ziva, but by the sound of her laughter, he was failing. With a shake of his head, McGee slowly started to shut off his computer.
In retrospect, the past five years had all been different. If he graphed the points, it would be a rapid up and down. There certainly were high points in the past five years, but there were also low points. And in McGee's mind, the low points stuck out the most. Maybe it was the fact that they played a large role in how the team worked today.
With a slight laugh, he realized just how much all of them had changed in the past five years. He could clearly remember Ziva, fresh off her plane from Israel, standing in the bullpen. He could also remember Tony's reaction to her.
He could remember their… tension.
Shaking his head again, he sat back in his chair for a moment.
Change was the only constant. Moreover, at the time, nothing seemed to be changing. And now, when McGee thought about it, things were so different.
Ziva kept her knives in a lock box.
Not on her body.
Maybe he was getting a little nostalgic… or maybe not. He kinda liked now, compared to then. Tony didn't call him a variety of "Mc" nicknames on a five minutes. Walking into the bullpen from the elevator didn't feel like walking through electrically air.
McGee coughed.
Things were better now. McGee felt comfortable. He flicked off his light, and stood. With a nod of his head, he came to a resolution. Now was nice.
And he was sure he wasn't the only one who felt that way.
