A one shot I wrote for a friend. I love Harvey and Harley, but it's so hard to find a fanfiction about them! Well, tell me what you think! This is set in Dark Knight universe, only because I like the way the characters are portrayed, and how we view them compared to the comics. I love the comic version, but this one is more fun to write about. Please review. I own nothing to my great dismay...
Harley wept harder as Joker walked away from her. She knew it was worthless to try to get him back. If she called for him, it would only push him away more. She wept harder, feeling more alone than she ever had before in her life. This would be the last time Harley saw her Mistah J. This would be the last time he hurt her. He would make sure of it.
Unable to sit around and watch Harley be tortured anymore he started walking towards her, as Joker disappeared from view.
He didn't need his coin for this. He knew exactly what he was going to do, and no coin was going to tell him whether this was right or wrong. Because deep down, he knew that this was right, it was right for him, and her. He turned his head to the table where her other friends sat.
Riddler had his head turned, he didn't have the guts to talk to her. Ivy was engaged in conversation with Selina, they didn't care, not until Harley came to them. This enraged him.
Harley did so much for everyone, she made them laugh, and cry. She reminded them what it was like to be normal just by doing little things. She tried to hold dinner parties for them, however Joker always ruined those.
He had finally reached her. His other half was quiet for once. He leaned slightly on one knee, and reached a hand out towards her.
"Harley. Take my hand." She sniffled a little and looked up, tears brimming her eyes. Her blue eyes popping, they were as blue as the sea on a calm day.
"I'm so scared Harv. I feel so, so broken." She whispered, her hand trembling a little as she reached for his. He gave her a smile that was often nicknamed 'the Harvey Dent grin'. He grabbed her hand and pulled her up, and to him. He wrapped his arms around her in a hug, as she threw her arms around his neck, burying her head in his jacket.
"I'm so scared Harv. I'm all alone. Truly alone." Harvey shook his head.
"You're not alone Harley. I'm here, and I'll take care of you." She pulled away a little, and looked up at him, and sniffled again, He released a hand from her waist and cupped her chin lightly.
"And I'll never hurt you. I promise." He said. Harley gave a weak smile, and her heart gave a little leap as he leaned in and kissed her lightly on the lips.
Well, what do you think?
