Chapter 1: Life Sentence

It's been five months since Oliver Queen was given a live sentence to the SuperMax prison, and things were very much terrible. In only a month, he's been beaten six times per week, by inmates, and he deserved it, Oliver had sent them to prison, every one of the men that had beaten him, they all wanted revenge.

The only time he had when he didn't fear for his safety, was when he was either talking to his lawyer, his son, Felicity, or Barry.

Now it has been five months, the beatings had gotten worse, but this time, it was even harder, Brick was there with his new friends, and they had gotten some "toys". The men started hitting the blond archer with sticks they had gotten from crazy guards, they had pinned him down in the corner of the janitor's closet. One of Brick's lackeys even got a shock stick for that same guard, and was using it on Oliver, who was now coughing out blood. The five thugs had gotten the former vigilante outnumbered, and he was feeling his life force being drained at every hit.

"Now, now, we wouldn't want the dear warden to be suspicious, would we?" Brick came forward, after Oliver's body dropped on the floor. He checked the poor man's pulse, and sighed in disappointment. "Oh, what did I tell you men!? Don't kill the bastard! It would draw unwanted attention to us," Brick added, turning to leave the room. "Clean this up, will you?"

At the same time, in STAR Labs, back in Central City, Barry Allen had entered the Cortex, where he knew he would find his dear friend Cisco Ramon.

"Cisco?"

"Hum? What is if Bear?" the Hispanic man asked, looking up to the skinny man in front of him.

"Could you Vibe Ollie for me, please?" Barry asked, his tone slightly anxious.

"Why? What is it?"

"I just have a bad feeling, that's all," he signed. "It's just, when I went to see Oliver a few hours ago, he told everything was fine, but kind of think there is something he's not telling me, so I wanted you to Vibe him, make sure he's fine in there," Barry said, hoping for the best.

"Fine, I'll do it."

"Thanks, man, you're the best," Barry said, as he sped out of the room, and came back five seconds later with his Vibe glasses.

"Oh, now!"

"Yes, now!"

Cisco took his glasses, and concentrated on Oliver Queen. What he saw terrorized him, and made his stomach turn. He saw Oliver's body being dragged by two inmates, and another was barking orders at them.

"Move it! We don't want anyone to find out we killed the Green Arrow! Move it!" he heard Brick yell, as his lackeys did all the work, as always.

Cisco gasped, as he came back from the Vibe.

"What happened?" Barry asked him, as soon as Cisco took off his glasses.

"I… I saw Brick… he was ordering his men around in the prison… as usual… and they were dragging a body… Oliver's body… they were saying that he was dead…" Cisco said, his hand over his heart.

"Ollie's dead?"

"I don't know… I felt energy coming from him… I wasn't sure what it was," Cisco said, shaken.

"But… if he isn't dead, then we should save him!" Barry said, enthusiastically.

"Dude, don't worry, I'll breach him out before he gets trapped in the coffin forever."

"Thanks, man, you're the best!" Barry said, clasping his shoulder.

A few hours later, after they found which drawer in the morgue, Oliver's body was being stored, Barry and Cisco entered the room, and rolled the drawer, looking at Oliver's unanimated body. Barry sped around, taking Oliver's body in his arms.

"Do your thing, Vibe."

"I'm on it, Flash," Cisco said, opening a breach, and Barry tossed the body through it. "We should get back to STAR Labs, Oliver should be there at any second," Cisco added, opening a breach for them to use and get back to the labs.

Back at STAR Labs, Caitlin was talking to Harry when a breach opened, and out of it came a familiar blond man.

"What the…?" Caitlin asked, confused.

"What would Mr. Queen's body be doing in our Cortex?" Harry asked.

"It looks like Cisco's breaches, so Barry and Cisco are behind this," Caitlin said, and they heard a gasp coming from Oliver's location. "Oh, God, he's still alive!"

At that moment, another breach opened, Barry and Cisco coming out of it.

"Allen, Ramon, why do we have the no-longer dead body of Oliver Queen?" Harry asked the speedster and other meta.

"Oliver isn't dead… wait… how do you know he isn't dead?" Barry asked, confused.

"He came out of one of your breaches, and a few seconds ago, he gasped, so I guess that he's still breathing." Caitlin said, turning to where they heard Oliver.

When Oliver woke up, he was on a bed, everything was blurry and hurting.

"Where am I?" he asked, feeling like he wasn't alone.

"STAR Labs. Welcome back Oliver," a voice said, it was very familiar, but his huge headache made it impossible for him to know who it was.

"How am I still alive?"

"Well, before you were placed in the coffin forever, Cisco breached you out of there, but there is still one slight problem."

"What is it?"

"The whole world thinks you're dead," the voice deadpan.

"Come again?" Oliver asked, suddenly feeling a little better, as he confirmed that he was speaking with Barry.

"You died Oliver, everyone thinks that you're dead, we can't just let you go back to your life…"

"Because if you did, I would be sent back to prison, and maybe killed for real. But where can I go, it's not like I have a life here?" Oliver asked.

"I might have an idea, but I'm not sure, we'll have to ask the people involved. When you get better, we will get going," Barry said, a smile on his face.

"Where will we be going?"

"You'll see," Barry smirked.

"Fine," Oliver complied, resting on the hospital bed.

"He's awake?" Caitlin asked when the speedster came back to the Cortex, and when Barry nodded, the doctor walked towards Oliver.

"Wait, he's resting," Barry said, and Caitlin nodded, going back to her work station.

"Allen, a word?" Harry asked, getting up and signaling Barry to come with him in the corridor.

"What is it?" Barry asked, confused.

"I know you saved Queen because he's your friend, and you didn't want him to suffocate in the coffin when he wasn't really dead, but what will you do now?" Harry asked.

"What do you mean?"

"The world thinks he's dead, Allen."

"I know that, but…"

"But what? The world thinks he's dead, where will he go? Did you consider where he could go? He doesn't have anything left here."

"It's true, he doesn't have anything left on this Earth."

"This Earth? Allen are you planning on giving him a new life on another Earth? What Earth could he live in? Most of them already have an Oliver Queen."

"Most Earth, Harry. We know an Earth where there are no Oliver Queen."

"Which one would that be, huh, Allen?" Harry asked.

"Kara's Earth, of course. When I was trapped there, I found out that there wasn't anyone that we know from here, and Kara said that her Earth could use an Oliver Queen, so this proves she doesn't have one! I can go with him and help him find her." Barry said.

"Allen…"

"Harry, whatever you were going to say, please don't, I have a plan, and I am very sure it'll work."

"All right Allen, but please don't come cry on my shoulder if it doesn't work…"

"Don't worry, I won't, cause it'll work!" Barry said, before speeding back towards the Cortex.

Wells sighed, and went back to the Cortex as well.

After about five days, Oliver was up and moving again, even going training in the small area the employees at STAR Labs had set up for him with his Green Arrow equipment, that they told his old team they would store. Barry, believing it was time for them to go, the Earth-38, went to Oliver's training quarters.

"Ollie, it's time to go, are you ready?" Barry asked, entering the room.

"Yeah, just let me pack my equipment, and I'll meet you at the Cortex," Oliver said, turning to his friend, before he went to pack his things in duffle bags and cases.

"Ok," Barry said, turning around, leaving.

A few minutes later, Oliver arrived in the Cortex, only to be greeted by Cisco and Barry, alone. Confused, the blond man came closer to the two men.

"So, where are we going?" Oliver asked the million-dollar question, he was never given an honest answer every time he asked about it.

"To another Earth," Cisco said, bluntly.

"Another Earth? Why would we need to go there?" Oliver asked, confused.

"Because, we all know someone from another Earth, and we are going to see her. She doesn't have an Oliver Queen there, so it is perfect for you to build a new life, start over," Barry explained, a small smile on his face.

"You want me to run?"

"Everyone thinks you're dead, so you've got nowhere else to go."

"Point, but why go to Kara?"

"Because, we know her, and I'm sure she'll be happy to see us."

"Fine, let's go."

"Yes, let's," Cisco said, opening a breach.

Oliver, Cisco, and Barry all entered the breach, and when they got out, they were in a big room, with guns pointed at them, forcing them to drop what they had in their hands, and raise them.

"Welcome to National City…" Barry whispered to Oliver, who sighed, but smirked, nonetheless. Harry was right, as always… he hated that Wells was always right…
