Just a cheeky one shot that I thought would be quite amusing. Hope you enjoy!

It was a warm summer's day in Leadworth. The sun was shining, the birds were singing and everything was still and peaceful. Rory Williams strolled through his kitchen whistling along to an old tune without a care in the world. He plucked a ripe, green apple from the fruit bowl that lay on the counter and took a large bite out of it whilst he made his way to the back door. The sun's rays shone through the frosted glass window of the door, illuminating his face. He turned the handle and opened it and was just about to take a step outside when voices coming from the garden stopped him in his tracks. He recognised the owners of the voices to be his grown up daughter and her husband the Doctor. He could not see the pair as they were around the corner of the glass conservatory that jutted out from the house and therefore they could not see him. He thought about announcing his presence to the couple when he decided it would be humorous to jump out at them and scare them. He waited in the door frame, puzzling over when to reveal himself when the voices of the pair became louder and he was able to fully hear the conversation that unfolded.

"River! Just let me do it, I'm perfectly capable of making it stand up by itself!" the Doctor's voice rang out.

"No you're not, you're taking forever! Honestly what is wrong with you today!" came River's reply.

"Ha! There you see, I've done it!" the Doctor said with an immature tone to his voice.

"With very great difficulty I see. Now onto this one," River said, almost mothering the Doctor, "No! Sweetie, you have to be careful getting it out!"

"What do I do now River?" the Doctor moaned.

"Put it in that hole there."

A pause.

"THAT'S THE WRONG HOLE!" River screeched.

"Well how was I supposed to know?" the Doctor complained, "They look the same to me!"

"And you have to be gentler sweetie, you can't just ram it in!" River said.

"I'll try not to River, but sometimes I can't help it, I just get over excited and carried away," the Doctor spoke, apologetically.

"Ok so now put it in this hole, BUT after you made it wet, otherwise it won't go in properly," River spoke.

"River, it's stuck!"

"It still needs to go in deeper though, it's no good like that!" River sighed.

"Well HOW?!" questioned the Doctor.

"Push it in harder!"

"Almost there!" the Doctor cried.

A sigh of relief from both of the participants.

"At least it's not floppy like before," stated River.

"Phew, that was really tiring," yawned the Doctor, "We can't keep this up forever without a break surely?"

Suddenly, Rory broke out of his horrified trance and decided to act. He marched out of the door and around the corner until he was face to face with the Doctor and River.

"WHAT IN GOD'S NAME DO YOU TWO THINK YOU'RE DOING?!" He screeched at the pair.

River and the Doctor both shared a confused look.

"Erm, planting the trees Amy bought?" asked a confused Doctor, indicating the area behind him and River.

Sure enough, in the earth next to the pair stood a line of newly planted trees, some upright and some not able to quite hold their own weight. Further on in the garden were five pre dug holes in the ground, ready for the unplanted trees that were left to go in.

"Why Dad, what did you think we were doing?" asked River.

Rory blushed the deepest shade of red the Doctor had ever seen.

"Oh shit," he said.
