Prolog
Urgh. Twittering birds - how much I hated them. This wasn't meant to tell anything great would happen, hm? "Are you ready, Rima?" Senri softly wrapped his hands around mine. "Yea", I replied. The door opened with a faint creaking and a cheerful voice sounded: "Senri! I'm so glad you came to... -" A tense silence. A shocked face. "Eww.. Mum, this is Rima, my fianc ." Smack. The lovely sound of a resounding slap.
Chapter 1
Man. What the hell was the sense of me waiting outside? Everyone in the radius of at least 5 km must have been able to hear her screaming like crazy. This woman definately was IMPOSSIBLE. "Rima? Would you please come in?", Senri called tentatively. I sighed and slowly went into the room.. SMASHHH. A vase full of flowers fragmented 2cm next to my head. "Mum!", Senri snapped at his mother, "You'll have to accept her, no matter if you want to or not. I love Rima, I love her more than anything in this world, even more than my own life. And you won't keep me from making her my wife." The blood ran through my veins and made my pale cheeks blush for a second.. fatale mistake. Suddenly, everything went ways too fast as if I could even realize what happened:
Shiki-san came up to me, rammed her fangs into my neck. Senri dragged her away from me, I fell down the few stairs near the entrance.. Silence. Darkness.
When I slowly opened my eyes again, a flashy light was blinding me and I felt all dizzy. I looked around pretty confused and noticed that I was lying in a bed which I didn't know, in a room which I had never seen before.
A cold hand gently stroke my hot forehead. "You have fever", Senri noted bashfully. He wiped my sweaty hair aside and tried to smile at me - which actually was a honor to me since he almost never smiled. "Mum still doesn't like you", he sighed as I didn't answer. "She thinks I could be just as naive as she was and fall in love with the wrong person. But it's already too late. I have no more influence on who I love because I found you."
My heart started beating like crazy, it almost threatened to blow up my chest. "I.. I love you, Senri", I said shyly and felt my cheeks becoming warm - I was blushing once again. "And I will do my best to get along well with your mother." "Thank you, Rima", Senri whispered. He softly kissed my forehead and turned around to go. "I'll leave you alone now. Try to sleep a little longer, okay?" "O-okay.. anything you want", I confirmed.
The door closed with a decent click and my pulse started to normalize it's speed again. My heart wanted to overflow from love; my whole soul was filled with such a happiness. I would make Shiki-san accept me, no matter what.
I could not sleep at all; I kept on listening to Senri's conversations with his mother. They were fighting all the time, and I knew how it hurt Senri not to be able to make his mother happy. He suffered. He suffered because of me.. it was my fault that they were yelling at eachother like crazy, right? They bot were screaming and throwing things at eachother, and I was to blame. I felt so unbelievable guilty; the only thing I ever wanted was to see Senri smile and enjoy life - by my side. But exactly the opposite was what I had caused. I covered my face with a pillow and started sheding tears for nothing. I cried. I kept on crying and didn't stop until sleep tenderly grabbed my confused mind and carried it away, into a better world where nothing existed what could ver make my beloved Senri sad... a world, where I could live however I wanted, a world without pain, without hurt.. a world which was mine, where I was understood.
