It was late night and they were exhausted. Specially Clara, who after being away from that life for 6 months, suddenly everything seemed more magic than ever. She went upstairs after a bath to find the Doctor laying on the couch reading a book. He looked at her and immediately putted the book away. He got up and walked towards her, his hearts beating faster than ever, he wondered if that was normal. He had been around Clara so many times, he had seen her in her pajamas more times than he can remember but now suddenly it was like something new had been awaken. Clara was different.

"Are you okay?" he asked, "Yes." she answered hiding her face. The Doctor knew something was up, he knew there was something else Clara was not telling him. He was scared. Maybe that day was really their last together, maybe Clara realized that her life was better without him. He tried to push those feelings away. He didn't want Clara to go, he wanted her to stay. He needed her so much and he was so sorry that it took him so long to realize how important she is. But none of that mattered now, he wanted Clara to be happy above everything else, even if that meant she leaving him. He carried on the conversation - "So, where do you wanna go? All of time and space and all that story that you already know, it's completely your choice." - Clara looked at him with a little smile in her face that quickly faded away. "I wanna go home Doctor.". In that moment he felt like the entire world was collapsing around him and without a word he set of the way home. For minutes straight none of them spoke, it was a sad silence.

The TARDIS landed in Clara's living room and they both got out. Clara sat on her couch expecting him to do the same... but he didn't. "Are you okay?" - she asked worried - "Well, saying goodbye to you... again... it's never easy". Clara didn't understood - "What do you mean saying goodbye again? Don't you want me to go with you?", the Doctor was now more confused than ever. "You told me you wanted to go home, I thought...", "What? That I was going to leave you? I spent 6 months without you, missing you every single day, wondering what you were doing and without even knowing if you were still alive..." - Clara stood up and got closer to him - "Imagine that feeling 24 hours a day everyday. I never want to lose out of my sight again." - In that moment the Doctor realized what that tension was, it wasn't friendship anymore, no, their friendship was long gone and something else came up in it's place - love. The Doctor loved Clara Oswald, he missed her and he was tired of fighting that feeling. So without a word the Doctor held Clara's face and kissed her, slowly and gently like she was fragile, even though he knew she wasn't. And Clara? She didn't pushed him away, because she felt the same. She grab his coat and pulled him towards her to make sure he didn't changed his mind. And they kissed and kept kissing for longer than they will ever know and with no one around to witness such love, well... no one except the TARDIS.
