Chapter 1: A New Day
Scene 1: Flashback.
(It was one of the worst days for me. My father left my Mom to die in space. He didn't do anything. I'll show you what happened.)
{Recap: Prism along with her brother and sister went downstairs to listen to Newton's conversation with their father, Neutron.}
Newton: So, what, uh, happened to her?
Neutron: You better want to sit down.
(I listened to their conversation. I thought it was my mother. And I was right.)
Neutron: I regretted that saying after. I learned from the PSA that they lost contact with her. Her last known radio message is "Take care of the Kids for me."
Neutron: Oh no…
(Oh no was right. My father was a great inventor; he didn't bother to do something about it. I clenched my teeth, tears streamed down my eyes, and inside was hate. Pure hate.)
{Newton walked up the steps. He turned to Prism.}
Newton: Wait, it's not what you think-
(I had enough. I turned and ran out the door. He didn't run after me. Neither did my brother nor sister. I just kept on running.)
Scene 2: The Forest
(I curled up and shivered. I had no home, no money, no warm place to stay. All I had was sour berries from a bush and water from a stream that tasted awful. I want to go back, but I couldn't. I just wish for a friend. I never had one since my Mom left. I closed my eyes and fell asleep.)
Scene 3: City, Alleyway
(When I woke up, I noticed that I was not in Ponyville anymore. I did not know where I was. All I could see was bricks and torn newspapers that these weird creatures used as blankets. They all stink and wore shaggy outfits. I was alone.)
{Prism walked out of the alleyway. She did not know that she somehow traveled to the real world. Immediately she was spotted by some teens. One of them was wearing a gray jacket, blue pants, and was wearing glasses. The other was wearing a baseball cap backwards and riding a skateboard.}
Teen: What the?
Teen's Friend: Get it!
(I ran away from those creatures because they looked scary. But everywhere I ran, I almost ended up getting caught, killed, or even both.)
{Prism almost got run over by a truck.}
(I ran down the alleyway and hid there until sunset. That's strange. Luna would usually lower the sun to raise the moon, but Luna was nowhere around. It didn't matter to me thought because I was still alone.)
{Prism found some leftover pizza from the homeless, but it didn't satisfy her stomach.}
(I heard growling from a dog. I was looking for food. Now I was to BE food.)
Me: Leave me alone! Please!
(I tried to fly, but I wasn't strong enough. So I ran, I ran as fast as I could. But the dog ran faster. I saw a cardboard box. I tipped it over and tried to hide inside. The dog was already ripping the box into shreds. I thought I was done for. But then it suddenly stopped. I thought it ran off. But it sounded like something bigger was heading to the box. It lifted the box, exposing me.)
Me: Please, don't eat me! I taste bad!
{It was a little orphaned girl. With a huge smile on her face. To Prism, she didn't know what that creature it is.}
Girl: Oh my gosh, I know you! You're Prism!
Me: Help me! My life's gone bad!
(That's when I realized, I had no one. I ran away from home. I wanted to go back, but I had feeling I couldn't.)
Me: Help me. I'm lost.
Girl: Don't worry little Prism. I'll help you.
(I can't believe she was so friendly to me. She gave me her coat and took me to her place.) Maybe I have a new friend after all.)
