This is from the 'sentence challenges' on Sinister Shadow's (I LOVE YOU SINISTER SHADOW!) Animorphs lounge. You can get to the lounge by way of her profile. Just wanted to see if I could do it : )
Cassie had always thought her morals were very important, and in many ways, they were. But during the past few days, she had come to realize that sometimes, and in some situations, it might be best, and much more effective, to just throw all her good qualms to the wind.
Especially when she was running.
She had turned on David. She was the one who had figured out how to trap him. Trap him as a rat.
He had killed them all. Jake, Tobias, Rachel, Ax, Marco. Right in front of her. He had held her up and blown up the barn. Luckily she had been held up- but she had seen the explosion. Heard Rachel yell, "Oh my God!" before she was incinerated.
And now Cassie was running. She was hiding when she saw the slightest threat. But, as David had regained his power, the slightest threat could be anything. The rustling of grass, the whoosh of the wind, the hawk on that tree.
She tripped. She was running, for the man who owned the barn she was in had found her, and threw her out with a, "And don't come back!"
She looked for cover, but there was none. So no morphing.
Behind her… she felt something watching.
She turned.
And saw the lions jaws…
Did she live? Or not? Who know's? This is a one-shot!
