Author's Notes: POV of a Rattata... Who cares... Hehe... though this is just like 413 words... so short... really...

Rattata... Just a Common Rattata...
Who cares for me? All they see of me is a weak pokemon to fight... A pokemon just so that they can gain experience points... Who would want me, anyway... I'm just a common Rattata.
I am agile. I'm faster than Pikachu. But they just see of me as a small useless pokemon. Whenever they see me, they would think, "Aw man, why not a Mankey or a Pikachu or anything else good?"
See? I told you. Even if I' the most common, I rarely see a Rattata on the TV.
Even if I evolve, they would just think I'm just bigger than usual. I hate my self. No, I hate my species.
They even think a Pidgey is higher than me. They say that at least it has 2 stages of evolutions... Which makes it really better when it becomes a Pidgeot.
Whenever someone says the word "Pokemon", what do they usually think? Mew! Mewtwo! Water/ground/electric/dragon/grass/fire types!! Suicune! Pikachu!!
So, no. They don't think of Rattata nor Normal Types though in rare instances, they think of... what's that giant's name again? uhmm... Snorlax? Which is really WAY larger than me... a lot TOUGHER than me... so much STRONGER than me... What do I have? Speed?
If it wasn't for other trainers who catch us and train us... Rattatas would become extinct from memories... That would make us rare for once. That's good isn't it? At least people wouldn't think I'm just a worthless rat.
Even if they catch us just for their pokeDexes. Yup, most of them.. They just catch us for their pokedex.
Who cares...
Some rare trainers catch me and train me though.
My grandma told me, "Every cloud has a silver lining."
She was right.
We should be thankful trainers won't capture us unless they have to.
We should be thankful trainers won't go to our homes just to capture us.
We should be thankful trainers won't do everything just to catch us.
We should be thankful trainers would even run from us due to our uselessness.
We should be thankful.
Maybe I would, someday, learn to be really thankful. Yeah... Maybe that's what I'll do.
Maybe I am now.
