"On a date…"
A date? A DATE?
"With who?"
"Um…"
"With who Ness? How old is he?"
"Sorry Jake, I really have to go…"
"Ness, wait!"
And she's gone…on her first date and with someone other than me..
"Hey Jake, watcha doing?" Bella asks as she comes into the room.
Too late I'm already gone…racing after the car my Nessie had left in.
Yes, there it is, standing on a red light. The guy seems happy because he's holding her…WHAT? He's holding her hand?! Oh no…this is not happening…suddenly I have a great idea…
"So…what kind of movies do you like Ben?" Renesmee innocently asks her date.
"Oh, well you know…the normal kind…" he replies plainly.
"Normal kind? What do you mean, 'normal kind'?" she stalls for time.
The movie they're going to is a romantic/action movie and she's worried that something she doesn't want to happen might happen in the dark theater.
"So do you want some popcorn?" He asks skipping the earlier question.
"Um…SURE!" A perfect way to stall for time, "coke and a pack of chocolates too please!" she grins.
"Wow, you sure are hungry!" he looks at her strangely, then turns to the popcorn salesman.
I smile as her turns towards me.
"So, what kind of popcorn or beverage would you like?" I ask and then wink at my Nessie.
I can hear her gasp as she sees my face clearly.
"I would like 2 popcorns, 2 colas, and one pack of chocolate Lila Stars please." He doesn't notice anything, but that's because he doesn't know me.
I fill a cup with coke and as I'm about to get a lid I trip. Yes, I trip…not necessarily 'accidentally' but it looks convincing enough. Especially when I spill the whole liter of coke on 'Ben', Nessie's date. He just stands there for a few minutes and stares down at his shirt. Then he turns around yelling that he's going to see the manager right away. By the time he comes back with the manager, Nessie and I are both gone and laughing our heads off about how her first date ended.
