Author Notes: This is my first Code Geass fanfic so I hope you like it. Also I do not own Code Geass though I wish I could
The day had finally come for Lelouch and he was nervous. Lelouch found himself constantly pacing back and forth in his throne room as he started to worry if it wasn't going to work at all. What if Suzaku doesn't go through with it or the world doesn't change as I hope it will be. Today is the day that Lelouch will be killed by the hands of Zero and send the world into the future. As Lelouch continued his pacing, he heard a someone clear their throat near the doorway. He quickly turned around exspecting it to be Suzaku but it turned out to be C.C.
"Nervous as much?" she asked with a smile on her face.
Lelouch scowled at her before turning his back to the green haired woman, "What do you want witch?" he then roared.
C.C. giggled a little and leaned on the door frame, "Just wanted to check on you. Is that so wrong?"
A small growl came through Lelouch's mouth and just walke and plopped himself down on his throne, "Well I don't have time to deal with you, please leave me be."
C.C. only shook her head and started to walk up to the young emperor, "Why are you so nervous? Everything is in place according to your plan."
"Just because you plan it, doesn't mean it will follow through as you want it to," Lelouch replied with his face in his hand, "There are many things that can possibly go wrong with this C.C."
The very thought of everything falling apart scared Lelouch. Everything that he has done to make the world a better place Nunally and everyone else he cared. The sacrifices of Shirley, Rolo, Euphiemia, and his soon to be him. Just the very thought of it all coming apart was just nerve-racking and Lelouch could barely take it.
"So after all that you have done in the first place to get here, you now decide to get nervous?" C.C. asked with a stern look.
A sigh came through Lelouch's mouth and he rubbed his temple in frustration, "I know it sounds ridiculous, but the problem with this is that if this plan does not work, I will not be here to fix it."
Lelouch then removed his hand from his face and looked up to the ceiling. No longer will I be here to change what goes wrong. C.C. sighed and also rubbed her head. It was clear that they were partners and that will always be so C.C. must stick by Lelouch's side through it all but right now Lelouch was making it difficult.
"You shouldn't be worrying about this Lelouch, everything is going to go fine." C.C. then said.
Lelouch replied with a groan and put his hands over his head, "I know! I know! But still it could all go wrong."
C.C. rubbed her head also in frustration and then looked up at the ceiling, "So you saying that you don't trust Nunally or Suzaku?" she finally said.
"What?" Lelouch nearly hissed at the sudden comment.
"Well it appears as though you don't trust Nunally or Suzaku to run the world when you are gone." C.C. answered with a small smirk.
"What are you talking about?!" Lelouch yelled, "Of course I trust them!"
"Then why are you so nervous?" C.C. asked, "If you trust Nunally and Suzaku to run the world when you are gone then there is nothing for you to worry about."
Lelouch just sat there with a straight face before opening his lips, "But still..."
"You know for someone so confident you really are a worrier." C.C. said before turning and leaving Lelouch alone.
Lelouch just sat there with a worried face. He trusted Nunally and Suzaku more than anyone in the world but he couldn't help but worry about what would happen when he was gone.
