Summary: I keep wondering why Hikari has the feminine version of light in Japanese.
1:When Hikari was a young he had a twin sister who died 5 minutes after they were born.
2 :Sometimes his parents wished that they had a girl, because he was too quiet.
3: In the middle of the night when as an infant he'd cry when there'd be no hallway light on.
4: His parents couldn't think of any other name…
5 : He was mistaken as a girl when he was born…
6: At first he detested the name, but got used to it.
7:Lots of people forgot his name as Hikaru, and ended keeping Hikari.
8:His parents liked a (random) singer named Hikari.
9:His eyes had a warm light in them, as a child.
10: Hikari had always been his name to begin with… :P
Why do you think he was named Hikari, and not Hikaru?
