Disclaimer: Nothing Rent is mine, and sadly Angel isn't either, though I wish she were! Warning - a bit extreme. Sorry for all Angel lovers like myself. . .but I was in the mood to write a tragedy.
"I'll be back in an hour, love." Angel said kissing Collins goodbye. She and Mimi were going out shopping and Angel was just heading out to Mimi's apartment to get her. Yes - they walked to stores and malls all the time, it was good excersise.
"Okay, have fun." Collins said and watched his Angel leave their house.
Three Hours Later
Collins was beginning to get worried. Angel was suppossed to be back home about two hours ago. Usually she'd call if something came up that made her late, but this time there was no such thing. He kept staring at the phone - willing it to ring. Finally it DID ring.
"Angel?" Collins asked hopefully with a concerned tone to his voice.
"No. . ." the voice on the other end of the line sounded confused. It was Mimi. "I was wondering where Angel was. She was suppossed to be here quite some time ago. I'm getting worried."
"You mean she's not with you?" Collins asked, getting really scared now.
"No," Mimi answered. "I thought she was running late trying to find the perfect outfit. . .but I guess something must be terribly wrong since neither of us knows where she is."
"Maybe we should look for her." Collins suggested.
"Good idea, I'll call Roger and Mark. Can you call the girls' and see if they'll help too?" Mimi asked.
"Of course," Collins answered. "I just hope she's alright."
"Me too, see ya." The phone clicked and the line was dead.
Fifteen Minutes Later
The gang, Collins, Mimi, Roger, Mark, Maureen, and Joanne were all gathered at Angel and Collin's house.
"Okay," Mimi said. "There are three different ways Angel could have possibly taken to get to my apartment. Roger and I will go on the one that passes the park, Mark and Joanne can take the path that passes an alleyway, and Collins and Maureen can take the path that passes the subway station, okay?" Everyone agreed and split up.
Roger and Mimi hadn't had much luck finding Angel, and neither did Mark and Joanne. However when Collins and Maureen neared a hill not that far from the subway station Maureen cried, "I think I see her! She looks like she passed out!" but that was from a distance. As they got closer they could see that Angel wasn't passed out. There was a pool of blood surrounding her and a knife sticking out of her stomach.
"Angel!" Collins cried, wanting to run to where her body lay, and wanting to run away from the body at the same time. He settled for collasping to his knees right where he stood and cried into his hands sobbing "Angel!" over and over.
"Maybe she's in a better place now," Maureen said mournfully looking at Angel's dead - murdered body.
"Who would do such a thing?" Collins sobbed. Maureen had no answer. But one thing that everyone knows is:
All Angels belong in Heaven.
