Toad meets Pac-Man
Issue One
"Mario has rescued Princess Peach again!" Toad said enthusiastically to his love Toadette.
"That's wonderful news. I'll see you later," Toadette replied happily as she wandered off down the pathway into the distance. Toad began walking in the opposite direction and he noticed a dark cloud hovering above him. Suddenly a bolt of lightning stroke from the dark and gloomy cloud and a wizardly man appeared. He had long grey hair and a long grey beard. And he wore a brown robe and held a magical staff in his left hand.
"My name is Axxess," laughed the wizard to a nervous Toad as he hit the ground with his magical staff. Suddenly Toad evaporated into the air and quickly reappeared in a completely different universe.
Toad found himself in one of the many blue mazes from the Pac-Man Universe. He felt confused and rather excited as he saw Pac-Man go by eating all of the Pac-dots, being chased by Blinky, Pinky, Inky and Clyde.
"Oh my god!" exclaimed Toad. "That's. That's Pac-Man!" he continued feeling quite starstruck.
"Blimey, how can eat all of them like that? I'm surprised he's not fat," Toad chuckled to himself.
"In fact, I've always wanted to try one of those," said Toad as he picked up a Pac-dot and began to chew.
"Wow! These things are delicious," as he finished chewing that Pac-dot and picked up another. Suddenly he heard the sound unique to that of Pac-Man. Toad turned around to see Pac-Man being chased by four Ghosts.
"Bloody Hell!" shouted Toad as he began to run down the maze. I'm never going to be able to outrun those ghosts thought Toad. "Hang on, what if Pac-Man eats me," he cried as he began to huff and puff.
"Turn left!" shouted Pac-Man to Toad. "Oh yer!" replied Toad as he quickly took a left turn. The ghosts continued going straight on as Pac-Man met up with Toad.
"You saved my life!" Toad said thanking Pac-Man.
"This is the first time I've seen a guy around here in over 10 years!" said Pac-Man feeling excited. "And that was Kirby who can't even speak," he laughed.
"I didn't know you could speak," questioned Toad.
"There's a lot you don't know about be," laughed Pac-Man.
"And there is a lot I do know! You're famous in the Mario Universe!"
"Quick those Ghosts are coming back. There is a power pellet over there anyway," said Pac-Man as he quickly ate the power-pellet. Suddenly the Ghosts turned blue and Pac-Man began to chase them instead. Toad followed behind him as he went around the maze killing all of the Ghosts forcing them to return to the centre box. "All in a day's work," Pac-Man giggled.
Suddenly a bolt of lightning stroke infront of Toad and Axxess reappeared. "The fun is over!" laughed Axxess as he hit the ground with his magical staff. Abruptly Toad evaporated into the air and reappeared in the Mario universe and everything was back to normal. "Well that was fun," said Toad as he walked down the path. "What was fun?" questioned Toadette.
