ARAMINTA; extended summary
ARAMINTA LARK
had never been anything less than lost. As a child, she was lost on the streets when a man known as Vestor Octavian took her in, forcing her into a program that trained some of the best assassins-for-hire in the galaxy. Araminta's skills in carrying out assignments and getting the job done were almost as constant as the brand on her arm that forever reminded her of what she'd done to the survive.
When an anonymous job sends Araminta after a man named Obi-Wan Kenobi, she expects it to be an easy in-and-out mission that she can return home from in a day and receive her unusually high reward. Unfortunately for her, Araminta's superiors had failed to inform her of the Jedi identity of the man she'd been sent after, and the blonde woman ends up sitting in front of the Council waiting on a harsh punishment for her attempted assassination.
Much to the surprise of both the Council and Araminta, a boy by the name of Anakin Skywalker steps forward, claiming that the would-be assassin of his own master did not deserve her punishment, and should instead make up for her attempted murder by working to keep Obi-Wan alive. Araminta had never been much of a protector, but now faced with the assignment of keeping guard over the man she'd been paid to kill, she'd have to get used to it.
In the end, she supposed she owed it all to Anakin, who had been able to see the good in her at a time even she, herself, could not. If only Araminta had known how viciously the tables would turn, and how much she'd wish that Anakin had never gotten her a second chance in the first place.
DISCLAIMER.
I obviously do not own or claim ownership of Star Wars or any dialogue, characters and storylines you may recognise. I do, however, own Araminta and any dialogue, storylines and other characters associated with her.
AUTHOR RAMBLINGS.
Another of my stories transferred from Wattpad here! This story is set to be one of my longer ones as well, but I may choose to divide it into multiple books. As of now, this book at least is guaranteed to cover Episode II.
Araminta is one of my favourite OCs. Her story is something I've never seen in the Star Wars universe and she is also extremely complex in her actions and the thought behind it. Oh, and character development is gonna hit her hard.
I think that's it. I hope everyone enjoys this and I'll see you in the next one!
