Summary: A mission goes badly. A friend is hurt. How does the team react?

It was supposed to be a simple mission. Batman had gotten intel that there was going to be an attack on a STAR Labs research building. The team was supposed to stop the attack. Apparently word got around, though, because Red Arrow was there too. And he didn't seem to like the company. He refused to telepathically link up with the rest of the team or even patrol around the building with them. He had his own plans.
So when the fighting went down and the bomb went off no one noticed where Red Arrow was. And only when the team finished helping out the last of the scientist that they realized they had forgotten about one important person.
Kid Flash was convinced that Red Arrow got out okay but helped the clean up anyway. Robin and Kaldur weren't so sure. And Superboy, M'gann and Artemis were hard to read.
When they M'gann found Red Arrow they all know. A shriek went through all their minds. Kid Flash was the first one to come to her side. He saw a muscular arm with ripped black gloves above the debris. The rest of the body could not be seen.
"It's not Red Arrow," Kid Flash said, obviously in denial.
"How dense are you?" Artemis said and ran forward to start throwing off the smaller debris. M'gann was too traumatized to help so Superboy took care of the bigger debris. Aqualad and Robin stood by, ready to pull Red Arrow out once he was free.
The last big piece of debris was off him. Red Arrow's body was contorted and blood was all over. A piece of rib jutted out of Red Arrow's shirt. Kid Flash couldn't stop himself from emptying his stomach. He fell to his knees.
"M'gann, we need you," Aqualad said. He didn't want to touch Red Arrow for fear of hurting him more. If they were going to get him out they would never to levitate him.
"Right," she said. She looked pale green, like she too was going to be sick.
Red Arrow's body was lifted into the air. Aqualad opened up communication with Red Tornado. "We need you to be ready to receive us. We have Red Arrow and he's been badly injured. We're going to need full access to the med bay."
M'gann was already gone, headed for the zeta beams. Superboy and Artemis ran after them. Kid Flash was in the fetus position and Robin was by his side, trying to comfort him. Aqualad stopped for a moment and waited on his two younger teammates. "I have to be with Roy," he said.
"Go," Robin said. He rubbed Kid Flash's back.
Aqualad nodded, knowing Robin would take care of Kid Flash. In the meantime he'd have to be there for his friend.
A/N: I'd really love to make this a series but I have no idea where to take it. I'd kinda love to explore the reactions of different characters, especially Green Arrow, Kid Flash and Robin, but I have no idea what an actual plot would be. Unless you guys just enjoy my incoherent rambling stories? So, what do you guys thinks? Add more chapters or keep it a one shot. And if you have any ideas for this at all please tell me. :D
