The sounds of rustling leaves and heavy panting are the only things to be heard in the dead of night. Running. Faster. Faster. FASTER. She stops.
"Hello?"
Silence
"Please, somebody, answer me!"
Silence
"I know you're here, just say something damnit!"
Screaming through her tears, she's terrified.
"I swear to Zeus! This is no game!"
Rustling.
Her fears have taken over by now, she can't stop the unbearable amount of tears invading her eyes. Making it that much harder to find the mysterious creep chasing her and hunting her down. Ironic, isn't it? Artemis, Goddess Of The Hunt being hunted. That's not even half of it...
"What do you want from me!" A bloodcurdling scream.
Erebus, God Of The Dark, stood behind her, not an inch away from her, watching. Enjoying every tear that streamed down her face. A faint whisper "I'm here Artemis, right... here..."
She falls to the floor on her bottom looking up to the dark nothingness around her.
"LEAVE. ME. ALONE!" Yet another bloodcurdling scream through so. Many. Tears.
Erebus appears crouched down behind her again, with a sinful whisper, "What, you don't like my company?"
Artemis grabs for an arrow from the quiver on her back that she has slung on her shoulder. But nervous as she was, she sliced her shoulder in the process. She quickly spun up from the ground, grabbed her bow and aimed it. Turning in a swift, slow circle searching for the hunter who dares hunt a huntress.
"Reveal yourself foul creature!" She yelled, most of her crying had stopped but fear was still in her eyes which still allowed tears to stream down her face.
"For all that you are step forward and reveal yourself!"
