Comms in the Car
This is a one off story on what would have happened had Jess let Lester talk to Abby and Connor when they stole the car in Series 4 Episode 1 as well as a conversation between Matt and Becker and Abby and Connor which was alluded to after Matt jumped out of the bin lorry.
Matt jumps out of the bin lorry and into the car with Becker saying "Jess I need you to raise comms in vehicle Sierra Alpha 7".
"You got it"
Moments later Matt and Becker are chasing after the Spinosaurus which is chasing Abby and Connor when Jess says "Comms are raised, feel free whenever you feel like it"
"Thanks Jess you're the best"
"Well obviously"
"Abby Connor, this is Matt, what are you doing?"
"Well for starters we just saved your life"
"Thanks for that by the way"
"You're welcome"
"Guys where are you?" asks Becker.
"We're about half a mile ahead of you and Becker"
"Yeah Abby"
"Good to see you again"
"You too, but let's leave all the sentimental stuff for afterwards, agreed?"
"Agreed"
In the ARC Lester walks up to Jess at her station and asks "Why aren't they back yet? Are they ok?"
"They've stolen a car"
"Right, so they're fine. Let me talk to them"
"Fine, one second"
After pressing a few buttons Jess gives Lester a headset to put on so he can speak to Abby and Connor.
"Right you two, what do you think you're playing at?"
"Lester, you have no idea how good it is to hear your voice" says Abby.
"Yes yes, it's good to have you back, but why on Earth have you stolen the car?"
"Duh, to help Becker and Matt"
"Ah Connor, I've missed your dulcet tones"
"Really!"
"No you idiot, now tell me, what are you doing?"
"I just said, we're helping Matt and Becker. You know we've just saved your new Team Leader's life, that Spinosaurus was gonna kill him"
"Whatever, I just want you both back here in one piece"
"Didn't know you cared"
"I don't, I'd just like to hear about your time away, for scientific purposes"
"Oh of course"
After the briefest of silences Abby says "Lester"
"Yes Abby, what is it?"
"Can you just answer me one question please?"
"Sure, what is it?"
"Is Jack ok?"
"Your brother is fine, cleaned up his act a bit, from what I'm led to believe"
"Good, see you back at the ARC"
"Yes well, I know that Coelurosauravus of yours would like to see you"
"How is Rex?" inquires Connor.
"He's fine, though I should tell you that we sent the Diictodon back to where they came from"
"Really!"
"Yes, they left about 4 months ago"
"Oh, well thank you"
"You're welcome, now go deal with that Spinosaurus will you?"
"You got it boss"
Then the comms are stopped and the episode continues as normal.
