The pitter-pattering of feet resounded through Tartaros's Cube very early a certain morning. Even though there were a wide variety of demons residing there, there was only one tiny enough to be making such a sound. And unfortunately for the resident explosion demon, she was waiting outside his door. "Wake up Jackal-kun! Kyouka-nee is briefing the Nine Demon Gates on their missions today!" little Lamy yelled, much too chipper for that hour in the morning.

Jackal lumbered out, an unamused expression hardened on his face. He was met with only smiles and swoons from the bunny, who was far too excited about getting to hold his hand as she dragged him to the center of Hell's Core. "Let go of me, you little creep!" Jackal groaned, part of him wanting to use his curse and end his admirer right then and there. However, her job as head demon reformer prevented him from doing so. After all, should he fall in battle, she was the one who was able to revive him properly. "Have you ever considered, I don't know, bothering someone else? We're called the Nine Demon Gates for a reason. There's nine of us. You seem to hang around me more than the others!"

Lamy just laughed in her own annoying way and brushed off his suggestion completely. "But why would I spend time with any of the other demons when I have you, Jackal-kun?" she asked in a childish voice. "You're the cutest and hunkiest and the strongest and…"

By now, Jackal knew that when Lamy started going all hunk talk, it was time to tune her out. It wasn't his fault that he was the only halfway decent-looking member of their guild, yet somehow, he ended up bearing the brunt of all of her obnoxious displays of affection. He was secretly hoping that after this FACE plan succeeded, she'd find some human to obsess over and die with him. Her loss.

"You look sleepy," Kyouka chuckled, stepping out from behind one of the reforming chambers. "What brings you two down here so early?" She already knew the answer, but Jackal's facial expressions when she told them they weren't needed never ceased to amuse her.

"You were going to tell Jackal-kun and everyone else about the plan to eradicate the councilors, right Kyouka-nee?" Lamy asked.

Kyouka shook her head. "Not until tomorrow, Lamy. I didn't assign anything for you to do today so you could rest and build your strength up." She chuckled seeing Jackal look so angry. Lamy did wake him up at an unseasonable hour.

The bunny demon's eyes widened for a split second (her beady eyes were creepy, and she kept them closed most of the time) before squeezing them shut again and latching onto Jackal's arm like a leech. "We can spend one whole day together before you have to leave and kill people! Fafafafafa~"

"If you don't get off right now, I'm going to throw you off the Cube!" Jackal threatened as Kyouka walked away with a smirk adorning her features.

"Those two make this place much more…interesting…" she decided. "I do hope they continue after my source of entertainment is gone…" she laughed, running her hand along the tank housing the ex-Sabertooth mage Minerva. "A world devoid of magic…finally meeting Lord Zeref..."

"Absolute perfection."
