Dreaming Out Loud

Eli chuckled to himself at the scene before him. It looked like Clare had arrived at school early, pulled out her English Paper to work on, and then suddenly fallen asleep. She looked completely out of it.

What Eli didn't know was that Clare had in fact only been able to achieve a total two hours of sleep the previous night. Only because she stayed up half the night working on the assignment, and then when she finally decided to go to bed her parents had started fighting.

'This might be interesting,' He decided as he walked over taking a seat beside her, 'I wonder if she talks in her sleep?' Eli chuckled once more at that last thought.

Suddenly Clare mumbled something incoherent. Eli looked over at her his eyes sparkling with amusement. Yes this defiantly was going to be interesting.

"Eli.." Clare mumbled again along with something else, but Eli didn't quiet catch what she said after she spoke his name.

'So she's dreaming about me, huh?' Eli laughed. He smirked liking the idea that she was dreaming about him.

Suddenly Clare started moving like she was waking so Eli looked away quickly, and whipped out a random book from his bag. Then he proceeded to act like he was absorbed into the book.

"Huh, Eli? When did you get here?" Clare asked sleepily.

"I've actually been here for a while. So sleepy head, what did you dream about?" Eli smirked at the last part.

Clare blushed faintly then laughed, "Wouldn't you like to know." Then she turned back to her paper reading over it.

'Oh I know what you were dreaming about.' Eli chuckled lightly which caused Clare to look at him questioningly. When Eli saw this he just shook his head as he tried to hide a smirk.

A/n: I bet you guys who have me on Author alert are all like "Not another Eclare drabble _!" Aha well yes another Eclare drabble/one-shot thing. I was suddenly inspired by watching the newest episode of Degrassi where Eli and Clare were sitting on the table outside. This is what came out of my inspiration.
