Could It Be?

"Harry I can't believe you were picked!" Hermione said almost screaming at him. "But how could you be picked? You're just in your 4th year!" They were sitting together on the grass by the lake. It was the day after Dumbledore had picked Harry's name from the Goblet of Fire. Harry never expected that to happen. After all, only 7th year students were allowed to enter in the Triwizard tournament. They were all shocked that he, Harry Potter; a fourth year student was picked. The day after that, he'd been the topic of the whole school. Harry glared out over the water. He said nothing. "It's not like I wanted this…" he said, almost to himself than Hermione. "You didn't put your name there did you?" she asked, trying to find a reasonable answer. Harry slowly shook his head. "Why would I!" "Well, how else would your name have gotten there?" Harry felt shocked at Hermione. He didn't expect one of his best friends to be accusing him of something like that. He sat there staring at her in disbelief. "I-I-I'm not accusing you or anything… It's just… strange" she said sensing his temper. She didn't want to get on Harry's bad side. Harry stared back out over the lake again. "I don't know…" was all he was able to say. He really didn't know what to do or say. "Come on… You've got to say something else…" Hermione says while lying down on the grass. She hasn't gotten over the whole issue. She was desperate to get an answer. It was killing her. Harry gripped his wand hard. Finally he said what he's been dying to say. "I didn't put my name in there… I'm not even sure what's going on at the moment… It's all so fast…" "What are you going to do? Harry, the Triwizard tournament is very dangerous. I don't want you to get hurt." she said with a hint of worry in her voice. She worried about Harry so much sometimes. Harry was always getting himself in danger. "I know, I know… I'm not sure what I'm going to do… I can't just… drop out." He dropped down next to her on the grass just looking at the sky. "I have to do this," he said. "You can't back down now." She said stiffly. He nodded. He knew that already. If he backed out he would just be embarrassing himself in front of the whole school, in front of Cho-Chang, in front of Malfoy. He didn't want to endure another of Malfoy's stories. A lot of things were going through his head. "Maybe I could help you." Hermione offered. "Thanks" he said while still looking up at the sky. Hermione sat back up when she saw Ron walking up to them. "Ey, mate." He said. "Hey Ron…" Harry greeted. "Hi Ron" Hermione said. "Hey Hermione" he said while sitting down next to Harry. "So aren't you supposed to be preparing? The whole school is talking about you Harry. They say McGonagall hit the ceiling when she found out you got picked. Congratulations mate!" he said excitedly. "Thanks Ron…" he smiled weakly. "Ron! What are you thinking? This isn't a good thing. Harry could get hurt in one of the challenges!" she said furious at Ron for even thinking that it was cool. "Could you, for once in your life Hermione, Actually be happy that Harry is doing something like this?" Ron said to her quite annoyed at her nagging already. "Enough! The both of you!" Harry said while sitting back up. He couldn't stand all the fighting Ron and Hermione were constantly having. He couldn't stand it anymore. "Right, sorry…" Hermione squeaked. It was already getting dark, so the got up and headed for the Gryffindor common rooms before Filch caught them. Hermione headed to the girls dormitory and Ron and Harry went over to the boys.
