After opening crawl, camera pans down to see Hoth. Hoth is the new Jedi Winter Academy was established 25 years after the battle of Endor (29 A.B.Y), so its 5 years old. It is made in the remnants of Echo Base. Dark Jedi have been plaguing the New Republic since the reestablishment of the Jedi Order and the Jedi Council, which is now composed of 9 members instead of 12. The Jedi of the galaxy have risen to numbers far higher than the numbers of the Old Republic.
The Dark Jedi, wearing advanced versions of Darth Vader's helmet, armor, and other equipment. They all have either red, black, white, purple, or silver lightsabers. The Dark Jedi come out of the blizzard on jetpacks made by Corellian Engineering Co. The new JSDS (Jedi Strategic Defense System) did not pick up the Dark Jedi ships, all different versions of Victory Star Destroyers. When the Dark Jedi land, they draw their blasters, and run room to room through the first compound, which is always abandoned during a blizzard. They move on and they ignite their lightsabers. they enter the hanger where the newest version of Jedi Starfighters, the I-1 Eta B "Flying Dragon" are based. The fighter are manufactured from Jedi Fighters Incorporated. After being faced by 500 Advanced Jedi Knights, the Dark Jedi Retreat, but only for one reason, so the Cruisers can rain Turbolaser fire upon the base. These Dark Jedi seek not to conquer Hoth, but to capture ancient Jedi holocrons.
After the orbital bombardment, the Dark Jedi charge the base. Thousands of lightsaber battles erupt. After a long battle, the Jedi eventually overwhelm their Darker enemies. During the battle Dark Jedi Special Forces, formerly know as Dark Delta, secretly enter the base and capture their ultimate objective, 4 holocrons from the Old Jedi Order.
The Jedi enter their Jedi Starfighters and X-wings and give chase to the retreating enemy. They find a fleet of Victory III class Star Destroyers. TIE Ragers fly out of the destroyers and a major space battle is entered. The Ragers Chase the Jedi squadrons back to the surface, ending the battle.
2 days later, the Jedi Council has an emergency session. The leaders of the Jedi Winter Academy present security holograms. Luke Skywalker says," Interesting…how could we not have intercepted the star destroyers? Were they stealth?" Master Womston said," Our JSDS systems did not pick them up. We suspect they may be very powerfully stealthed. Also it is possible that they were on routine maintenance or they were offline, or maybe they were even jammed." Skywalker then ordered a full report on the situations on 2 standard weeks.
Meanwhile in the Sullustian System the 3rd Republic Starfleet engages a Type 5 Space Stations owned by the Dark Jedi. Then suddenly the fighting stops. Then a lone Lambda 2 Republic officer's shuttle goes into the main hanger bay of the station. The fighting begins again. In the Hanger Ben Skywalker and Mututa Monsin kill the Dark Troopers guarding the Hangar and other main locations. The seized the Flight Control Center and halted all space stations fighters from engaging the Republic Fleet. They then order the automated TIE Rager-Ds to attack the bridge of the station. A large hit from an Imperial class 3 Star Destroyer obliterates the shield generator, allowing the Objective targets to be hit and destroyed. Skywalker and Monsin retreat and return to their flagship, the Peacekeeper. There the ordered and blasted the enemy fleet into oblivion, with the exception of one ship, the command ship for the Dark Jedi fleet. The ship is a heavily modified Executor class SSD. It disappeared into the darkness of space.
