Snape felt himself slipping away and Potter swam in and out of focus. All went dark, and than it was light again. The shooting pain in his neck was gone, Snape knew he was dead. He also knew that there was no one still alive who didn't think he was a slimy liar. Perhaps Potter would know after he looked at his memories, but he would immediately run to die because he would know that was what Dumbledore wanted. Snape supposed it didn't really matter anyway; he was used to being alone. Suddenly, Snape realized he was still lying on the ground, though this ground was more comfortable that what he had died upon. He began to pick himself up, and looked around for the first time. Snape saw a familiar red-head with striking green eyes smile at him and hold out her hand.

"Thank you," they said together, and when their eyes met, they knew the other truly meant it.

A/N: Do you like it? It came to me after finishing the seventh book. At first it was a simple picture of Snape looking up and Lily was there, actually (and those of you who read my other story Another Maurader, which I recomend) Ari was there too, because usually Ari was sort of friends with Snape, but in my book I needed a Malfoy character. Anyway I didn't want to have to introduce her, too much extra, and I really only wanted to leave you with a happy sense. Please review and tell me what you think, I'm a sucker for reviews.
