A/N been watching Schindlers list and had this floating around inside my brain, so I wanted to share a little of my appreciation.
God's Chosen People.
-Dedicated to the 6 million Jews that lost their life in the name of the Nazi.
There is pain and death all around,
Were scared, were hiding afraid to make a sound.
In man, there is so much hate,
We have no need to ask our fate.
They will murder, a culling beyond compare,
Women and children they don't care.
Man is dominating man to his injury,
Just as god said he would…with such consistency.
Each generation breeds a new fashion for killing,
Our lives aren't worth a mere shilling.
They kill for fun,
They kill until there is no more killing to be done.
When did such hate begin to grow?
How can man hate one whom he does not know?
For a bullet there is no reason or rhyme.
She was no fatter or thinner, just out of time.
Just as Able's blood watered the ground,
Our dead increase and now abound.
When will this war stop, god please let the pain end?
Will I find the face of an old friend?
God delivered his people from the hand of pharaoh,
And from Babylon a land they did not know.
So we trust him for He always provides escape,
Sometimes it just comes in an unexpected shape.
And so there exists a good man, buying us one by one,
And he does all he can do, until there is no more to be done.
He saves us by the will of god,
He lifts our spirits with a kind nod.
The kiss of honor and dignity,
Seeing in a way no one else will see.
And still he thinks he failed us,
And he searches for retribution, for the ones that were lost.
With him, there really is no hate,
And so god allows him to be truly great.
Immortalized in our hearts, forever more.
A man who saved us, from those who would abhor.
Thank you Oskar Schindler.
-A life for but an hour is still a life...and he who saves a life…saves the world.
A/N I know it's only a little poem, but I hope you enjoy it anyway...and I'd really appreciate some reviews. =D
