"What? You need a ride?"
It was simple; a simple question that should have earned the answer of no.
"Yea."

"Are you sure you don't want to reconsider that porn?" Sam smirked.
Andy glared at him, "No. This plant, hopefully, will do the trick."
Andy and Sam walked into the hospital. He hadn't exactly known what he had gotten himself into. He needed space and this was most definitely not space.
As she carried the plant, she couldn't get Sam's previous words out of her head. She might have made the situation worse by bringing him to the hospital, but she needed his help. And, he was there when it mattered, this was no different.
As the two walked up to room 320, they both stopped suddenly.
They heard laughter.
Andy looked to Sam. He just shrugged not knowing what was going on either.
Andy peeked into the room to find none other than Jo by her fiancée's side. He was smiling. Jo had been able to make him smile.
She turned her head back to Sam, who was giving her a confused look. She motioned for him to join her at the door.
When he saw the two detectives talking and laughing, he put his hand on Andy's shoulder.
She flinched at the touch, but after a moment accepted it. It was what she needed and he knew that.
After all of the days events, she should have wanted to tell Luke all about them. Alas, she knew that his mind was somewhere else and had been since the return of the blonde detective.
She looked at Sam, who surprisingly was not looking at the scene in front of him; no he was looking straight at her. She gave him a sad smile before walking to the nearest trashcan.
She dropped the plant in the trash without any hesitation.
"Want to know something?" Sam asked as he came to stand by her at the trashcan.
She looked down at her plant in the trash, "What?"
Sam smirked, "That was the ugliest plant."
She turned towards him.
There were a million thoughts running through her mind. She was engaged to a man, who obviously had unresolved issues with his ex. The thought that made her think the most was how right now she was with a man she shouldn't even be with. He wasn't safe for her, but there he was, always there. Somehow, some way, he was there.
"Did you mean it?" She asked him suddenly.
Sam put his hands in his pockets, "Mean what?"
She shook her head knowing she had been wrong.
Blankly, without warning, she said it, "You are always there."
She gave him one last look, before retreating down the hall.
A/N: Short. Nothing big, just something that came out while I was packing. I hate packing! Even though, I have no idea what goes on in Andy's head, I think she needed someone there with her after seeing her 'perfect' boyfriend being way more happy with his ex. Who better to be there with you then the one you are meant for? And Sam said it best, "I'm there when it matters." Seriously, I want to lock Andy and Sam in a room, then they would have to talk to each other about their feelings! Anyways, I hope you all enjoy this and please review. I might continue this...what do you think? I'll leave it open and let your comments sway me! :)
