One .:Magic? Pfft...Aburame Shino Is A Boy Who Needs A Miracle:. One

-----

Inuzuka Kiba, Aburame Shino, and Hyuuga Hinata were headed to their usual training grounds. Akamaru, now much larger than in his puppy-hood, simply bound alongside Kiba. No one spoke; Kiba was daydreaming, and Hinata and Shino were both just of quiet nature. One moreso than the other.

Once they neared close enough to where she was, Takamoto Xira dropped over here brance so only her legs were keeping her upside down and off the ground. Her face had dropped down less than two inches from Shino's, yet he was the one of the three not to flinch.

Her long, normally stick straight, split-end filled cinnamon colored hair was braided, and the intensity of her coal-black eyes was being thrown off by her glasses and the bridge of freckles across her cheeks and nose. Her hands were in the pockets of her burgundy pull over-which had black banded sleeves-to keep herself from being completely exposed as her low-cut jeans showed a reasonable swath of her stomach in her current position. It also appeared she was a bit on the chubby side.

"So my ninja friends," She grinned at them. "normally I wouldn't bother your type so randomly like this, but I've got a quota to fill ya' see, and-" She was cut-off by the crack of splitting wood, and a moment later, she was sprawled out on the path with the branch on her stomach.

Kiba burst out laughing, exciting Akamaru, while Hinata moved to help only to get waved away while the girl hauled the branch off herself with a small blush of embarrassment on her cheeks. Shino had done no more than shift his eyes down to look at her. "As I was saying," She stood, brushing herself off. "I was wondering if you guys would take some luck charms off my hands. Pretty soon they're gonna be useless unless someone uses them." she finished.

Blank looks.

"I'm a charm maker." she explained, "My name's Takamato Xira, and I'm of the Raven Clan. That's a gypsy clan if you didn't already know that."

"Uh... right, well I'm Inuzuka Kiba." Kiba said, having recovered from his laughing fit at Xira's expense. "Oh, and that's Akamaru."

Xira looked at the oversized, rather unattractive dog and wrinkled her nose a bit.

Hinata spoke next. "H-Hyuuga Hinata." She said with a shy smile.

Xira grinned back at her in an almost Naruto-ish way, then turned to Shino. "And you are?" she quickly extended to the third, feeling that he may not oblige her with his name otherwise, as he reminded her vaguely of a rude raven-haired boy she had met not moments earlier, minus the air of superiority.

p "Aburame Shino." He answered shortly with a slight nod.

"Heh," Xira peered over the rim of her glasses at the three of them; once satisfied, she reached into the pocket of her pull-over and produced a small, smooth red river stone which she presented to Hinata. "For luck in love. No charge." She turned to Kiba and handed him a similar polished green stone. "And for luck in battle; also no charge. The time they'll last is limited, so make the most of the magic while you can."

Hinata turned her gaze from the stone she now held and glanced from Shino to Xira. "Xira-san, what about Shino-kun?"

"Hmm?" Xira looked Shino over again and shrugged, "He doesn't need a magic boost for his troubles, Aburame Shino is a boy who needs a miracle. I don't do those." she answered simply, ambling off slowly. "Maybe I'll see you guys around."

Kiba-who had likely taken the comment as something a bit more perverse in his mind-started laughing again, and much to Shino's dislike, gave the bug user a hard slap on the back.

Shino himself, was lightly at a loss as to whether he should feel at all offended by the miracle comment or not.
