The waves beat hard, dishevelling her corpse,

The times when she could smile were now long gone,

The sands of time weigh heavy on her thoughts,

Her inner self sung, an uncredited song,

Her exposed torn soul, old voices do haunt,

In truth what they say pains, but she is strong!

In fleeting reflections, faces do taunt,

A friend's betrayal; another broken bond,

With rugged waves, her soul is now gaunt,

Realisation sweetly comes too late – she was conned!

Her whole life was a friends attempt to flaunt,

All she could never have; their pact was wronged!

Thus her fateful life to end in a torrent,

It was in her death, she finally belonged.

A/N: please review, orignally written for my Literature class. I based it on how I imagined Magnus would have felt when her world was crumbling around her.
