Wow, I actually bothered to post something other than my random fanfic which I never update. I know. I'm surprised too. Anyway, I was really bored in Social class, so I wrote a Lunar Knights poem. Yup, I'm cool.

Before you read this, I want to warn you that I've never actually played the game. I've hung over my brother's shoulder and read reviews on the internet, but that's about the extent of my knowledge. So if something in here isn't completely accurate, I apologize. Call it "artistic representation", if you will.

Just an update, I fixed this so the stanzas actually showed, instead of congealing into one huge mass. It looks much better now.

Lunar Knights and all related characters belong to Konami. Rawr.

They're just children
Yet they're forced to fight for all of us
One bright like the sun that hides from our world
And the other pale and defiant
Like a small white flame that just won't blow out

Yes, they're children
Even the one who faced death and came out on top
Yet still they're our warriors, champions in this time of need
It isn't fair
It isn't right

They're just children
But they're all we've got
Let them fight for us
If they're twisted and broken like the rest of mankind
At least they'll feel like they belong

Who cares about age in this hopeless battle
They wield sword and gun, they can liberate, do damage
Their parents are dead and gone, there's no one to hold them back
They're not our children
Let them fight

We're just children
Small lives thrust into this vortex of conflict
Yet we do our share and pull our weight
Like soldiers, like slaves
Held by this nightmare we can't escape

When he thinks I'm not looking
His face darkens and I can see how much we are alike
Forced to grow up
But never growing up
How much longer can we continue this farce?

We're just children
Lost and alone, abandoned by the older generation
We seek refuge but find nothing but darkness
And we fight against that darkness, strike it, banish it
Doing all we can, but doing nothing

His light is so bright
It would blind me, were it not so warm
We are alone in this world of grim adults
And I don't think he knows just how much he means to me
He won't ever know-I'll never tell him

They're just children
Unable to comprehend the bond that connects them
One is too proud to acknowledge it
The other unaware
But if one fell the other would always catch him

This strength seems so little
But when despair presses in they fight back
With a strength no adult could ever match
They're just children
And that's why victory is ours

What do you think? Love it? Hate it? It's kinda random I guess...But I find it rather ironic that a war that determines the fate of all mankind is being fought by two teenagers. They seem to do a good job of it, but still. Hmm.
