12 Days of HiJack.
Day 9, prompt 9. Family get together.
RPNAU. Set after Snowball Fight, but waaaaaaaaaaaaaayyy before it's sequel.
Hiccup rubbed his neck nervously. He looked at his parents, silently asking if he really had to go through with what he was about to do.
Stoick nodded.
Hiccup groaned as his mother rang the bell.
A girl with violet and emerald hair opened the door. Her blue and violet eyes stared at them, "Hi. I'm Brenda Tania."
"Babytooth?"
Hiccup smiled, when Jack came over, "Who is it?"
Brenda shrugged.
Jack looked out and smiled. "Come on in."
Val and Stoick entered.
Hiccup lingered behind them.
Jack smiled at him.
"JACK!" A woman yelled.
"Shoot," Jack muttered, "be back. Take a seat."
He ran off.
Hiccup looked around. Brenda smiled at him, "Jack told me about you."
Hiccup nodded as another girl, this one a brunette with brown eyes, and a short man walked over.
The man signed rapidly.
"He Sandy," Brenda said, "He's mute."
Sandy waved.
"And I'm Emma!" The other girl said brightly.
Jack and a woman walked in, arms full of plates.
"Hello," the woman said, "I'm Tatiana North. Jack's mother."
Tatiana had rainbow dyed hair and magenta eyes.
Hiccup smiled as his parents nodded.
Inside, a man looked up at them. He looked to be in his mid twenties with natural gray hair.
"Name's Aster," he said quickly.
Hiccup smiled again.
So far, this wasn't so ba-
"You must be Hiccup."
Fuck.
He thought too soon.
He turned around.
The man before him was HUGE.
He had white hair and a white beard. He had peppered eyebrows. His blue eyes bore into his emerald ones.
"Y-yes..." Hiccup stuttered.
He looked for his parents.
They were talking to Jack, Aster, Tatiana and the girls.
'Damn it dad, damn it mom...'
Hiccup looked at Jack, but he smiled and turned back to Val.
'Damn it Jack...'
The man led Hiccup into a separate room.
"Fruit cake?" He held up said cake.
Hiccup shook his head, eyes stuck on a pair of swords, shit..."No...Thank you."
The man tossed the cake away.
"WHO ARE YOU HICCUP HADDOCK III?! WHY DO YOU WANT TO DATE JACK?!"
Hiccup backed up.
"I...uh...Mr..."
"Just call me North."
"North...right...uh..."
North leaned in, glare in his eyes, waiting for an answer.
Hiccup gulped, "I...you see, before I met Jack, I was...outcasted. I was bullied as a kid, so...as I grew up...I kinda took on the punk look to keep them away, hit the gyms, but...it wasn't me. And I became one of them..."
"One of who? "
"A bully...and I picked on Jack because he reminded me of myself, but stronger...he stood up to me..."
"Of course he did, I taught him everything he knows."
"That explains it...but he gave me the help I needed, and I got fond of him."
North nodded.
"I swore, if I ever hurt him..."
"I will make you pay. "
Hiccup gulped. "Y-yes sir..."
North smiled and straightened up. "Good, now, let's go eat dinner."
Hiccup sighed in relief.
They walked back into the living room.
Jack smiled at Hiccup.
Hiccup smiled back.
To think, he used to bully the nerd he loved.
Heh, not again.
