The River
As I went down in the river to pray...
The eerie calmness of the night was broken by the sound of a choir of angels singing a song from the heavens.
There was no sky opening up or anything, really, except the storm that raged through Europe.
Studying about that good old way...
A young man kissed his lover on the lips as he hurried off into the raging storm, raven hair damp and clinging to his scalp and forehead. His emerald green eyes shone in the lightning flashing across the sky.
And who shall wear...
In Scotland in a chilly castle, an old man with a graying beard couldn't help but shiver in fear as a sense of dread overwhelmed him. The lightning crackled and he knew.
The starry crown...
In the dungeons of the same castle, a greasy-haired man sat in front of the fireplace, sipping from a glass of Whiskey in his shaking, pale hand.
Good Lord show me the way...
Harrison James Potter walked up the steps of Hogwarts castle as a clock stopped ticking. He smiled, and it was truly menacing.
"O sisters let's go down
Let's go down, come on down
O sisters let's go down
Down in the river to pray..." he sang and, even without the Sonorous charm, everyone within a 100-mile radius heard it.
O sisters let's go down...
He skipped into the Entrance Hall, and all the torches flickered and died.
Let's go down, come on down...
Looking up at the large oak doors of the Great Hall, he began humming with the angels, and the whole hall fell silent.
"Hm hmm mmm mmmmmmm," he hummed, skipping through the tables.
O sisters let's go down...
A figure stood from the head table, his graying beard sweeping the ground as he walked.
Down in the river to pray...
"Why?"
The green light that flashed throughout the room, illuminating the stricken faces of the students, would forever be ingrained in all that were presents' memories.
