The Like-like who Liked Link

Link was walking through the forest of the Lost Woods when he heard a strange sound. It was gurgling... like the frogs in Zora river. Only it was really creepy sounding and less symphonic.

He followed his ears, ignoring the disgusting stench that raided his nostrils as he approached the sound of the croaking.

"Link! Listen!" Navi exclaimed.

"WHAT?" Link snapped. The fairy had been drumming his ear drums to the point that they were now dinging like the fairy's irritating voice.

"Look out!" Navi shrieked as the horrid creature leapt from no where.

Link rolled his eyes as the creature made no attempt to hurt him. Instead, it seemed to... like him.

"I think it likes you Link."

"No duh..." Link thought.

"It's greenish brown... your green..." Navi pointed out, then she gasped. "IT REALLY DOES LIKE YOU!"

The like-like groaned happily and moved closer to Link's right boot, its slime smearing all over its surface.

"Ew..." Link muttered between breaths.

The like-like "looked" up in his general direction and spit out fifty rupees.

"Well, I think I could get used to this!" Link snickered as he picked up the the purple rupee. It was covered in slime. "Delicious."

Link began making his way down the trail away from the like-like and it began to follow behind him.

"No, no, no, no! You can't come with me! Everyone in the village will freak out!" Link scolded the monster.

The like-like croaked sadly and assumed a very depressed state.

Link frowned. Despite the grossness and stench... the like-like wasn't half as bad as his smell... or her.

"Well, are we gonna go? Or are you going to get sentimental about the dumb thing?" Navi growled in his ear.

Link again raised his eyes to the heavens, "When I said I wanted a fairy, I wasn't exactly asking for this one."

Navi turned red and smacked him with her body, "YOU BIG SPOOTHEAD!"

Link grinned, "There's nothing spootier than a spoiled fairy."

Navi snorted in disgust, "You've been spending time with those beavers again, haven't you?"

"Maybe..." Link said, grinning wolfishly.

Navi twisted her wings around and folded her unseen arms. "Well, I'm not leaving."

"I never said I was..." Link retorted, "I just turned around."

Navi fluttered hopefully, "So... can we go to the village then?"

"Yes and no..." Link frowned as he gestured to the like-like, "I can't have this following me."

Sweey: Considering that I did this at like 1 in the morning... it's not SUPPOSED to make sense. XD Well, if anybody actually finds this random story (which I barely put ANY thought into) and reviews... :3 I may continue. XD But probably not... as there is no storyline whatsoever in this! haha
