Roses Are Red

He towered over me, looking at me with those stoic, ice-cold eyes of his.

"Yes, Sesshomaru-sama? Is there something you need, is Rin sick, perhaps?"

"Hn," He said. "Alright, then. So, care to tell me why you've come to visit me today?"

"No." "Well, I'll go get some herbs anyway, in case Rin gets sick again, I trust you know how to make the medicine?"

He nodded silently.

'I guess there's nothing to it, he doesn't love me. Besides, I'm mortal. Would he lower himself to my so-called level? Even if he did love me, would he show it….?' I became lost in my thoughts for a moment.

"Miko. Are you listening to me?"

I was startled out of my pondering and flushed with embarrassment.

"Eh, yes? Can you repeat it please?"

"I can, but that doesn't necessarily mean I will," He said, smirking.

"Alright, may you repeat it please?" My flushing changed from embarrassment to anger.

"No, I don't think I will." With that, Sesshomaru walked off.

'That no-good little…..I wasn't even able to get the herbs for him!'"Sessho- what?"

When I stepped forward, there was a soft crunching sound, like when you step on fall leaves that someone else has stepped on.

I looked down, and my eyes widened. It was a red rose, with all thorns removed. 'A…..rose? A red rose, with no thorns? Where did he find it?' It was beautiful, and I had stepped on it.

Good going, Kagome.

Still, I wonder what it means?

Does he love me?

Or is he just teasing me?

'Oh, it doesn't matter. Thanks for the rose, Sesshomaru.'

Hey again! One story after the other, just no Caramell, huh? Just don't start coming after me with pitch forks and torches, and I'll get it done. If you do that, I might go on strike.
