Remember the Battle

A poem commemorating the anniversary of the Battle of Hogwarts...and also the first thing I've ever published on, well, anywhere. So reviews much appreciated

Written in commemoration of the 17th anniversary of the Dark Lords defeat.

Remember remember the second of may
and all of the lives lost on that fateful day.
Remember the battle that burnt down the School
remember the Dark Lord and his schemes so cruel.
Remember the children who laid down their lives
and became soldiers before their time.
Remember the couples, the husbands and wives
and all of the bodies that fell in the grime.
Remember the Boy who stood through it all
the one who made the Dark Lord fall.
Remember remember the second of may
and all that did happen on that fateful day.
