Yay! Another story! This is written for the 34 Stories, 106 Reviews Competition. It's a short drabble about, if you couldn't tell, Voldemort and Bellatrix. While I loathe Bellatrix, I had fun writing this.
Warnings: Angst, Vague-ness, Adoration, and Manipulation. One-sided Love.
Disclaimer: I've said this so many times and I keep thinking it will get easier to admit, but it doesn't! *sobs* I *sniffle* DON'T OWN HARRY POTTER! *Goes off and cries in a corner*
Trouble
She knew from the start he was trouble. When she had first began her journey, kneeling at her feet as intense pain wracked their her thin frame, she had known she was going to get hurt for falling for this man. But he wasn't a man, no, he was a god to her. He was her lord, her life, her every breath and her very soul. She had gone to the ends of the Earth for him, for her love. And she would continue for all her life. For, even though she had known he meant trouble, she was willing to take that risk.
He had known from about her love from the start. For just a moment, her wide eyes had locked with his during her initial pain, and he had seen it. He had seen her pain, her passion, her desire, her love. And he did nothing to halt those feelings, even encouraged them at times. He needed her to do his bidding, to fight and die for him in the end. Never making any promises to her, but leading her to believe his feelings were as hers. No, he never let her doubt his feelings, for that would lose him his pawn.
She hadn't expected it when it happened. She hadn't expected to feel agony rip through her chest as she heard of his destruction, hadn't expected on could feel something so strongly. But she had found faith in her lord, her life, her darkness. Some how, with finding the strength to go on and find her revenge, she had found the knowledge that she would not be alone forever, that he could not die. But she had failed him when she was locked away, living with her demons for years upon end. As long as she knew her lord would return, though, she could live on.
He hadn't expected it, hadn't counted on a child striking back. But even as he felt parts of his soul leaving, he knew he would rise again. For parts of his soul would live on, and as long as she remained one of his loyal followers, she would aid his return. So he waited, knowing she had been locked away, knowing that most of them had been locked away. He waited for the right poor soul to come along, for a long ten years he waited before striking. And somewhere, as he sucked the life out of another soul, he knew she was waiting for him.
She had rejoiced her freedom, had thrived at the feeling of being back with her lord, her love. Though he wasn't the god she used to know, he still had that insane glint and thirst for power. She knew from the start he was trouble, but had also known that, no matter what, she would fight till the end for him. For, despite his rejection in the end, he was her lord and she was his pawn. And as she felt that green light flash towards her, she couldn't help but feel happy it was for her Lord.
Yep... Short, sweet, and I not that easy to see the point! Anyways, Review!
