Glue
Author's Note: Hi there, this is my first It Crowd fic! Before you read it I want to apologise for the shortness of this chapter, it's probably not even as long as the average one-shot, but I've got a lot of fics going on in another fandom (The Mighty Boosh) at the moment and I just wanted to see what people thought of this so I know if it's worth carrying it on, so reviews are extremely welcome! :D Enjoy!
Disclaimer: I do not own the It Crowd
'Five minutes, I've been gone,' Jen stood in the doorway, shaking her head in disbelief, 'Five minutes. Would someone like to explain to me what is going on?'
Roy, who was sitting with his head down on the desk, mumbled something.
'What?' Jen raised an eyebrow.
'He says he would but his face is glued to the desk,' Moss explained helpfully, sitting beside him, twisting his chair slightly to face Jen who simply blinked.
'Why has he glued his face to the desk?' she asked, making her way into the room and putting her coffee down.
Roy waved his arms around and mumbled.
'He says he obviously didn't do it on purpose, it was an accident,' Moss informed her.
Roy mumbled again.
'What did he say that time?'
'That was just a mumble,'
When incidents like this happened, and it was usually a daily occurrence, Jen had learnt to gather all the facts.
'Where is the glue now?' she sighed.
Moss put his hand up, arm resting on the table, and attached to his hand was a bottle of super glue.
'Why,' Jen asked, 'were you gluing yourselves to things?'
'Ah, well I'm glad you asked, Jen,' Moss crossed his legs and, spinning his chair slightly so that he was directly facing Jen, gave her an expression that looked like a movie villain whether it was meant to or not, 'Take a seat,'
Jen sat down on the sofa with her coffee.
'I was a little bored, so I conducted a small experiment to see how strong this new glue really was-' Moss began.
'So Roy gluing his head to the desk wasn't really an accident so much as... well, plain idiocy,' Jen concluded.
'Wrong Jen,' Moss continued, 'There was a method in my madness; I have discovered that the glue does in fact do exactly what it says on the label, so it's a bit of a win loose situation really,'
Roy gave a mumbled exclamation, 'is anyone going to help me?'
'Look, I'll try and get this sorted,' Jen stood up, 'Moss, I met someone from 4th who needs a bit of help with their computer. Could you nip up and help them?'
'There might be a slight problem with that,' Moss put his other hand up. It was glued to Roy's hand.
'Oh for goodness sake!' Jen sighed witheringly, 'You know, one day, just for a treat, I'd like to leave the room and come back a little later to find everything and everyone how I left it!'
'I know Jen, it's a debacle, I can tell you,' Moss shook his head, 'And to make maters worse, for some crazy reason they did not include on the label how long the ruddy glue lasts for if you happen to glue yourself to someone,' he shook his head.
Jen wondered why she was so amazed that this had happened- it was typical Monday really.
Author's Note: I'm still sorry about the shortness! Let me know what you think so far :D
