Author's Note: inspired by a review I read where the reviewer thought Roy saying "When I get back, we're getting out of here forever. I love you," was going to be his last words.

Amongst the unconscious bodies of Slade's army lay the dead body a young man in his mid twenties. During the fight one of Slade's men had grabbed him from behind and snapped his neck. His last words to the women he loved had been "I love you." Fortunately he would never know of the words she had written in a note that was left on his bow and quiver.
