Lothal
Sabines POV
"Please." I beg as I follow Eyein up to the lounge of the Ghost, hot on his heels. "Please let me see it."
"No way, Sabby."He replies with a cocky grin.
"Come on you've never let me see it."
"Not gonna happen."
"But why not?"
"Because I said so."
I groan loudly in frustration. "Was stubbornness programmed into you?"
"Nope….I developed that all on my own." He brags proudly sitting down on the couch.
"Aw come on please? I'll give it a cool paint job if you show me." I suggest as I fiddle with his helmet. Looking over the paint design that I had given it the blue triangle mark under the right eye, the same as Eyein's right eye tattoo. I noticed the old Imperial marking on the left side. Eye had asked me to place and Anti symbol over it when he first discovered that I had a very artsy personality. Over the months Eyein and I have exchanged so many stories about our time spent in the Empire, it was one of the many things that we have in common. Because of his accelerated growth Eyein must have been approximately only two years old, just the thought of me being older than him, but him having the maturity of someone much older always made me laugh.
"You are not painting the rest of my armor." Eyein finally declares, shutting his eyes and leaning back. "And you ain't gonna see it." I sigh heavily as I lay next to him, the top of my head against his leg, he stares down at me with a confused glance. "And if I may ask, why do you want to see it so badly anyway?"
"I just want to compare it to the new standard issues." I lied, I already knew the differences. Eyein explained to me that it was Kaminos issued Phase3 models. I had to admit that his model was much better than what those bucket heads wear.
"No you just want to paint it." Eyein protests smugly.
"Ok fine." I admit sitting up. I've often enjoyed listening to Eyein's stories of when he was traveling around the Galaxy and was on the run from the Empire. I was so jealous of all the places he got to see and the people that he met too. I did think of him as odd when we first found him, he just didn't seem…all there. I found the tattoos on various parts of his upper body particularly interesting; although the one that that read "Rouge" printed on his left arm made me pity him, but the one that read "Defector" over his heart made me smile, it was a mark worthy of him. Eyein claims that he's a terrible person, but I have reasons to say otherwise. On the day I met him he saved my life and I've never stopped thinking about how a clone, who at first had little knowledge of right or wrong and had caused so much harm to others yet he was willing to put his life on the line for me. He's like the big brother that I've never had before.
Eyein's POV
She's a good kid, better than most people that I've met over the years. "Hey Sabby, do you want to-" I freeze when I see that Sabine had fallen asleep, her body curled up, head resting on my lap. She must have drifted off only seconds ago I smile brightly as I scoop her up and carefully t her back to her room. Getting her up to her bunk was proved to be a challenge, but if I knew Sabby she could sleep through anything. I set her painted boots and gloves next to the bottom of her bunk, where she could find them once she woke up. t was weird…..for most of my two year life at first I was surrounded by people that I couldn't even consider my friends…more like my enemies, but when I met the crew I found a new purpose, people who I could actually call friends and family. And Sabby…..she was the first one that I ever looked at as a sister.
