Once upon a time a very long time ago there was a very wealthy man whose name was Xavier Miller. He had 3 sons. One day he realized he was getting very weak and old so he decided to give his children their inheritances. The eldest brother gains the family business the middle child obtains the mules, and the youngest child receives a cat. At first the man is very displeased but then he learns to live with it. But soon he learns that this cat is no ordinary feline, but one who request and receives a pair of boots. The cat saw that the boy was very displeased and felt bad so he was determined to make his masters fortune. One day the cat goes out to the woods and bags a rabbit and goes to the king of the land and gives it to him as a gift.

The cat continues making gifts of game to the king for several months. One day, knowing that the king and his daughters are traveling by horse drawn carriage along the riverside, the cat tells his master to take off all his clothing and jump in the river. The cat takes the clothes and hides them under a rock. As the carriage gets closer the cat begins calling great cries of distress, and when the king starts to investigate the cat tells him that his master was bathing in the river when he was robbed of his clothing. The king invited the man to his carriage and gave the man a great suit of clothes. The princess saw the man and it was love at first site.

The cat hurries in front of the carriage and comes along a castle which was owned by a big ogre who can change himself into anything. At first he frightened the cat by turning himself into a lion but then the cat tricks him into changing into a mouse and gobbles him up. When the king arrives to the castle he was so impressed that he gave the lad permission to marry the princess. From then on the cat enjoys life chasing mice for the heck of it and taking long cat naps. The end".
