I don't know why, but the thought of holding a HOA fic contest appealed to me. So here I am, hosting one, and I'm not entirely sure if anyone's going to enter. There's no harm in that, right?
Of course, a contest isn't one without setting a few boundaries:
One: The fic has to be written about a ship. Specifically, a non-canon ship; they deserve as much love as everyone else. So you can't write a fic about Fabina, but you can write a fic about Neddie. Another example: no Amfie, but yes to Jamber.
Two: One of the genres has to be angst. There can never be too much angst in the HOA fandom.
Three: It has to be a oneshot; it's convenient for all of us. How long it is is completely up to you, but no drabbles, please!
Four: Yes, (femme)slash is allowed. Yes, it can be rated M. I have no limit on subject matter, either.
Oooh, but what are the rewards?
First place: A oneshot dedicated to you on any pairing you wish, and you get to provide the prompt! Also, I'll review and/or favourite all of your HOA stories even if there's a hundred of them unless there's any you don't want me to see.
Second place: I'll review all of your HOA stories, conditions as per above.
Third place: I'll review a selection of your HOA stories.
Deadline is December 1st, 2014.
