It was a team building day, day that was compulsory every year but now they were all sat in a big hall with a random man hosting and a woman, who Sandra recognized from the murder squad, answering questions about members of her team.

"Can we get Sandra Pullman out here please?" The man asked as Sandra sighed and unwillingly rose to her feet. "Ah, Sandra from the Unsolved Crime and Open Case Squad, give her a round of applause. So Sandra there's three plus you in UCOS?"

"Yeah."

"Tell me their names."

"Gerry Standing, Brian Lane and Jack Halford."

"Okay, let's start with Gerry, what was his former rank?"

"Detective sergeant." Sandra replied confidently.

"Correct, how many times has Gerry been married?"

"Could this get any easier, everybody knows that he's been married three times."

"And what led to those marriages breaking down?"

She sighed before answering. "His inability to be faithful, this is getting too personal."

"You're right, so does he have any kids?"

"Yeah 4, 3 biological and before you ask Emily is the oldest then Paula, who has a soon called Gerry, then Amelia then Caitlin."

"Well you passed the Gerry section. What was Brian's former rank?" The man hosting the event asked.

"Detective Inspector, he's married to Esther and they have a son called Mark and a dog called Scampi." Sandra told him seeing no point in prolonging this.

"What breed is Scampi?"

"A springer spaniel."

"And who is Brian a lifelong supporter of?"

"AFC Wimbledon."

"Right now Jack…"

"His real name is John, he was married to Mary but she was killed, they never had any kids. His hobby is golf, is that good enough for you?"

"Yes well done Sandra, you know your team but how well do they know you?"

"Well enough thanks."

"Really because we asked them some questions and no one got every question right. Jack was the only one who knew you'd been married before, they all knew you had no kids, Gerry was he only one who knew you weren't currently single and Brian was the only one who knew your biggest fear is spiders."

"Well do you know what? We've done a lot better than every other department and we know each other pretty well and that's what counts." Sandra said before leaving the stage and going back to sit with her boys.
