Hopeless Part 1
"No, I won't leave you!" John said to an injured and bleeding Cass. "You have to, I don't to be the cause of your death!" Cass shouted back. "You won't be!" John replied. "Why are you so focused on me in particular living?" Cass asked him. "Because...Because...I love you!" John told Cass. "You...You do?" Cass asked in astonishment. "Yes I do, Boone, cover me!" John shouted to the sniper, who nodded in response as John lifted Cass onto his shoulders. "Raul, ED-E, go get Arcade!" He shouted to the Ghoul and the small, floating robot that he had fixed back in Primm. Raul and ED-E sped off to get Arcade. "Hold on Cass!" John shouted. "Don't really have a choice, do I?" Cass asked half-joking. "No, you don't!" John answered totally serious. Boone, John, and Cass made it to cover quickly. Boone continued firing at the raiders attacking them. John saw the one in particular that had wounded Cass. He raised his pistol and fired the shot hit the raider right in between the eyes, all without dropping Cass. "Take that, you son of a bitch!" John yelled. John, come on! Arcade yelled. John ran to him and put cass in the back of the truck they had found that was still running and had a full tank of gas. John climbed in next to her. "Don't worry, I'll make these bastards pay." He told her. "Well I won't stop you." Cass said back, with a crooked smile. John took out his 10mm Submachine gun and his 9mm Submachine gun. As Raul started the car, Boone got in the passenger seat shooting seven raiders as he did so his cigarette not falling from his mouth once. The truck began to move, and John took this as his cue to begin shooting like hell. They escaped, but a raider had climbed onto the truck, so John took out his switchblade and his combat knife, kicked the raider in the face, and stabbed his chest, hitting his lungs. He put his knives away and caught his lever action shotgun shooting the raider in the face. Boone witnessed this, and his jaw dropped, causing his cigarette to fall from his mouth. "Dammit, that was my last cigarette." He said.
