It was a summer Saturday afternoon. Darren was away on a business trip, and Sam babysitting Barney, her cousin's son. They were watching a nature show about amphibians.

"I wonder what it would be like to be a frog," he said.

"Do you?," asked Sam.

Suddenly, he twitiched his nose and became one!

"Barney!"

He hopped around on the couch for a few second.

"OK, you know what it's like to be a frog, so become human again!"

But he didn't. He hopped off the couch. She got up and fallowed him.

Suddenly, the front doorbell rang. She answered it.

There was nobody there; however, Barney hopped out the door!

"Aaargh!"

She ran out of the house after him. He hopped down the sidewalk to the corner, then went down that sidewalk. There was a small park with a fountain in the middle; he hopped into the water!

"Barney, you get out of there this instance!"

He didn't. Sighing, she took her shoes off and got into the fountain!

He hopped, and she chased him. She stood, at first, but then she knelt down in the water, getting her pants soaked.

He began toying with her by hopping close to her hands, then hopping away before she could grab him.

Meanwhile, a cop walked by. Seeing a woman in the fountain with her clothes on, he walked over to her.

"This isn't a swimming pool, lady!," he said. "If you don't get out, I'll have to fine you $25.

"I'm sorry, officer. I lost my pet frog."

"Your pet frog?"

"Yes. He got away while I was trying to put him into another aquarium."

Seeing the cop, Barney stopped playing. He hopped over to Sam, and she picked him up.

She then stood up. "There he is—you bad boy!"

The cop chuckled. "OK, I'll let it go, this time.

"Thank, officer."

He left.

She got out of the fountain. Then she put the frog down.

"Now, you turn back, this instant!"

He did this.

"That's better!"

She put her shoes back on, then led him back home.

"Just a second, Sam."

He twitched, and the two of them became dry, again.

"Thank you, Barney."

"You're welcome."

They went in the house.

"I'm sorry I almost got you in trouble."

"It's OK, Barney."

He hugged her. "Please don't tell Mommy."

"I won't—if you behave, the rest of the day!"

"I will. I'll bet you don't often go swimming with your clothes on!

She laughed. "No, I don't!"

He behaved the rest of the afternoon, and his mom picked him up at 5:00.
