Author's Note: It's always interesting when it comes to the sorting to see if the author writes a poem or merely:

(A/N: If you think I'm going to write a poem you're off your rocker. Insert Sorting Hat's song here).

I came up a new way for someone to say that they are NOT going to write a Sorting Hat song.

Please! Pardon my poor poetry potential! (Hmm... Alliteration, I like that.)

Not a Sorting Hat Song

I am not a poet,

I can't write for hats

That sing songs of sorting

And odd things like that.

So, you won't have to think

About brave Gryffindor.

They're great but after 200 poems

Become a bit of a bore.

Of Hufflepuff,

You will never have to know

That they are just and loyal

And undaunted by toil.

With an "A B C A" pattern

You will never have to hear,

Of Ravenclaw and the learning

Students' there hold so dear.

Of little green snakes

You won't have to worry.

The Slytherin's won't tell

Of their cunning in a hurry.

So now that you're board

And have run out of time

You can return to the story

And- Oh! I can't find a rhyme!
