Make It Back

This is my first songfic, so tell me what you think. I don't own Maximum Ride or the song Make it back, that would be James Patterson and Lesley Roy. Enjoy.

I woke up to find myself inside a large cell, almost prison like. Right, I'm at the School. Crap, the flock is going to be so angry. First they'll find out that I'm missing, than they'll find out I'm at the School, than they'll have to rescue me.

Let me back track, first I was taking a walk through the park, because Gazzy and Iggy were making a bomb, and Angel and Nudge were playing cards, and Fang was reading with Total at his feet. I wanted to burn off some energy but no one wanted to go flying with me, and I decided that I should work on some of the muscles in my legs, my wings got enough work. I stopped halfway through my run to tie my shoe, next thing I know I was laying here on the ground.

"Hey, she's awake!" I heard someone in a lab coat call. Before I knew it, I was being escorted to a giant room that held an obstacle course inside it. They strapped up a bunch of wires on me that showed my heart rate, blood pressure, and a timer attached. They led me to the start and I started to run through it. I had to run it about twenty times before they ushered me back to my cell. A lady that wore a lab coat brought me a loaf of bred and a large bottle of water. The water was still sealed off so I opened it and took a long drink; I avoided the bred all together.

That routine went on for almost three weeks. After that, they had me run on treadmills and lift weights. Eventually they learned not to give me any food that had been exposed to the air, so I got ravioli in a can along with creamed corn and carrots. I started to think that the flock would never come back for me. But than something worse came to mind, what if Fang never came back to me. I strolled over to the bed that was in my cell and pulled on my sweater. I pushed my hands into the deep pockets on my sweater, that's when I found out I had my iPod with me.

"I can't believe I forgot I had this!" I said to myself. I put the ear buds into my ears and hit shuffle. The first song that came on was Make It Back by Lesley Roy.
