This is sort of me trying to get a better idea of some of my favourite (and least favourite) Doctor Who characters.

This will sometimes be sweet, sometimes be sad, and sometimes be crazily stupid.

You've be warned.

Disclaimer: I don't own Doctor Who. It would be pretty cool if I did.

River Song hates birthdays.

She hates them with a passion. If anyone ever asked her why, she wouldn't say, or she would lie, or both. Sometimes she said it was because hers was on April 1st. But really, it was because when most 30 year olds complained that they were getting old on her birthday, she shot the greatest man she ever met.

River Song's favourite number is two.

It was because the Doctor had two hearts. Not that she ever told him that.

River Song loves autumn.

When she was a kid it was her job to sweep up the leaves, and afterwards she'd always jump into the leaves and they'd go everywhere and she'd have to sweep them all up again, but she always did it anyway. Always.

River Song likes Donna Noble over all of the Doctor's other companions.

Donna is smart and sassy and funny and fun and River Song likes her, and when she meets her she knows why the Doctor was so fond of her. And when Evangelista is dying, and she asks for Donna, someone she's only known for a matter of hours, River feels like she should have been nicer.

River Song never dances at weddings.

Not even at her own.

River Song was thirteen the first time she saw someone die.

She'd been at the wrong place at the wrong time (she usually is) and she's not a hundred percent sure what happened but next thing she knows the shop assistant's lying on the floor and there's a bloke with a gun and a girl with red hair and a man in a bowtie.

Of course, she only remembers the last part.

River Song hates Amelia Pond.

There's one part of River that really likes her. She really is magnificent, and even though she's a Kiss-o-gram she has more brains than most of the Doctor's companions combined.

And then there's the part of River that hates her guts. Because underneath all the "Come along Pond,"'s and "Your getting married in the morning!"'s, he really does love her. And River hates that.

River Song has never argued with the TARDIS.

The Doctor doesn't know how she does it. He argues with the TARDIS all the time. When he asks River about it, she just says they understand each other. But both the TARDIS and River know it's because it drives the Doctor mad.

River Song may hate Amy, but she feels so sorry for her.

River can't watch as she cries over the lifeless body of the Doctor. She turns away, and doesn't even notice Rory approach her until she hears him say "I thought we could trust you." She could still hear Amy crying and Rory's voice is cracked with sorrow, and River's still looking at the gun in her hand. But she doesn't turn around.

River Song doesn't regret a thing.

She thinks this is pretty self-explanatory.
