-glory undimmed-

Lea of Mirkwood

.

.

When night fell over Gondor,

As sky filled dark with cloud

When shadow fell ran over hills

He came by sea, stood tall and proud

With Shining armour glinting in

Faint light shimm'ring off the Sea.

A green stone on his breast did gleam

As e'er he drew near.

He leaped from the prow of his boat

And drew from velvet sheath

Sword of legend long ago

Wrought in forges underneath.

The flame of the West rang sharp and clear

When drawn against forces fell.

Long he fought and long he held

Mordor back at bay.

As lord and king he came from far.

In Northern lands his DĂșnedain

Lived as his brothers in swords and arms

All men of NĂșmenor, one kind.

In fair valley of Elvenkind

In garden valley lush and green

Sang he of fair nightingale

Out of song Elf maiden was seen

Eyes bright as stars, skin pale as moon,

Her hair as dark as sky at night

Like a specter drifting o'er sea,

Came she softly in raiment of white.

The met again in Dwimordene

On Cerin Amroth they made a vow

To love forever, though he be mortal and she

Set to sail o'er sea at ship's prow.

He left her there and served in lands

Rohan, Gondor' in disguise

Under Thengel and Ecthelion II

He fought in secret guise.

He kept the north safe from harm

But thinking always of his maiden Arwen

Daughter of Twilight, the heart of the future king

Was given to the evening in fair glen.

When darkness came back in force

And towers rose, with fires burning,

The Shadow grew with wicked blade;

Darkness awakens, weapons forging.

A/N: -glory undimmed- part two will come quite soon, which tells of the king of Gondor's participation in the Fellowship. Tell me. Crap? Gold? What?
