I don't normally care for drabbles, but I had a little collection growing and thought they should be shared.

"No, my horse blocks that move."
"It's a Knight."
Wally leaned forward and tapped the piece. "It's a checkmate."
His opponent growled, "Luck."
"Skill!" Flash laughed.
Batman kicked back his chair and stood.
"Don't be a bad sport," Wally warned and wagged a finger.
"Don't gloat."
"I think the situation calls for a bit of gloating, Bats." He removed the pieces that remained on the board. In a blur of red, black, and white, the pieces stood again in their respective places along the first rows. "Sit down."
Bruce stared.
"Please?"
He sat. "Best out of five."
"Challenge accepted."
Batman hid his smile and waited for Wally to move a piece.
