Some say the world will end in fire,
Queen of fire. Her eyes flashed hotly, heedless and uncaring.
Some say in ice.
He was hard, frozen, watching her like steel.
From what I've tasted of desire
"Doesn't it mean anything to you, what we've shared?" Her voice was hushed, broken, flashing with passion.
I hold with those who favor fire.
The molten fire rushed through her veins, burning.
But if it had to perish twice,
She needed him to survive, it was as simple as that.
I think I know enough of hate
Cool, steady, his voice bland and unexpressive. "I told you from the beginning, you mean nothing to me."
To say that for destruction ice
Behind those blank eyes, regret?
Is also great
Her world, fragile already and woven around the icy king, shattered.
And would suffice.
