I've always wanted to write a Fanfic to this quote. I love it and hope you enjoy it. I didn't describe everything in the affair just some of it. I didn't have the book on me so it's not word for word.

"At what-twenty-three years old?- you're playing the Lady Rebel?" he said.

Lady and Lord Rebel
Fiyero's last words echoed in her head. Lady Rebel. That's exactly what she was. She was a rebel; she had been one all of her life. But Fiyero didn't know that. He hadn't been there when she was outcast in her own family, when even Nanny didn't want to talk to her. He didn't know that she was an outcast at Shiz until Galinda became friends with her. He knew nothing about her, and yet he could analysis her so well. She was a Lady Rebel through and through.
"We have to say goodbye now," she said stiffly to him. His face turned surprised. Deep down she wanted him to stay, but it was all too dangerous for the Winkie prince.
"No, we don't," he argued, and Elphaba almost shook him at the stupidness of his mind.
"I know who you are, but you don't know who I am. You can't- I mean you can't and you can't- it's not allowed for one, and you're not capable for the other. Godspeed Fiyero," she said handing him his opera cape.
She held out her hand, and he took it, and looked up. What he saw there made them both realize that they needed each other.
The first night of their love affair was one that none of them would ever forget, even Malky. Elphaba and Fiyero seemed to fit together perfectly, without any misconceptions, any distractions nothing like that. They moved together like blue diamonds on a green field. It was pure and true love. Or at least so they thought. Even though Fiyero was married to a child bride, and Elphaba was on her own, they were perfect for each other.
One night after a week of being in the affair, Elphaba rested her head on Fiyero's shoulder in the dark. Their flimsy blanket covering them both in the cold air.
"Yero, my hero…" she said lovingly, "My Lord Rebel."
She was half-asleep and the words mumbled out of her mouth but Fiyero knew that she meant them.
He smoothed out her hair, and whispered in her ear, "My Lady Rebel, my darling Fae, I love you."
She smiled in her sleep, and they both drifted off wrapped in each other's arms.
Four months later, it was Lurlinemas and Elphaba had strictly told Fiyero to go hire some company in a bathtub while she completed her assignment. She would never know that he had followed her.
Her assignment failed miserably. But then again, Elphaba had a habit of failing everything at life.
As she entered corn exchange she immediately noticed that something was wrong.
"Fiyero?" she called out stepping inside and shutting the door.
There on the floor, was where she found him. He was beaten, and blood was everywhere. Elphaba dropped to her knees, and covered his body with her own, sobbing even though the tears burned like fire on her skin. Malky came over, and even though the cat was covered with blood, it comforted her just a bit. She continued to sob for her lost Lord Rebel.
From that moment on Fae decided that there was no turning back.
She would be the Lady Rebel for the rest of her life.
